If enhanced premium tax credits aren’t extended, new costs will hit some seniors hard. A 60-year-old woman in Yakima County earning $41K/year with a husband on Medicare would see her annual health insurance costs skyrocket from $70 to $1,945.

Our neighbors in Idaho are going to face skyrocketing monthly health care costs unless we extend the ACA tax credits.
More than 70,000 King County residents receive enhanced premium tax credits to help them afford health insurance. If the credits aren’t extended, a couple earning $52K/year with an adult dependent son will see their annual health insurance cost skyrocket from $490 to $2,830.
We need to act right now. We need to say to families who are going to be threatened by this that we can work together and we have a plan.
God forbid that these people get sick or have a condition that is really life threatening, because people don't want to come up with a solution today. It is not that hard. We can extend these tax credits. We can have affordable health insurance in the market.
