The fact that a president can throw an economy into such havoc without really consulting or talking to Congress is just wrong.
I talked with @chrislhayes.bsky.social of MSNBC about my bipartisan bill to require the president to get approval for tariffs.
The global tariff war was creating havoc. I am glad to see the 90-day pause. American consumers and businesses need certainty and predictability.
The administration is telling us that tariffs are the tool to a winning economy. And I’m saying, innovation is the tool!
I want to innovate my way to that future, instead of berating the American consumer who has to pay the price for this policy.
