Trump and Republicans are raising health care costs on YOU AND YOUR FAMILY so that they can hand out tax breaks to millionaires, billionaires, and giant corporations.
The greed has reached an all-time high. It cannot go on.
We need Medicare for All. That's what I'm fighting for.
Proud to earn a 93% on the @aclu.org's 2025 Legislative Scorecard, which tracked key votes last year to defend civil rights, civil liberties, and free speech while Trump and the GOP are trying to roll them back and silence any opposition.
I will never stop voting to protect your rights.
The American people did not vote for a Middle East war.
But that's where Trump's push for regime change in Iran is headed—towards another FOREVER WAR, without seeking Congressional authorization.
The Constitution is clear: only Congress can declare war. Tonight I voted to reassert that authority.
A Memphis pastor told me ICE is taking Afghan Christians from his congregation—people here LEGALLY, who committed NO violent crimes and even helped our troops as interpreters.
"The worst of the worst" was always a lie.
Kristi Noem was fired, but she’s not off the hook. She MUST be investigated.
Kristi Noem's complete and total humiliation this week will not save her from the investigations coming down the pike.
She oversaw the MURDER of two American citizens, and she led the smear campaign against them.
Have to wonder if she gave Trump the same sad look an innocent puppy once gave her.
Kristi Noem LIED about going after "the worst of the worst".
Instead, in Memphis and nationwide, the VAST majority of people ICE is targeting have NO felony criminal record. That's according to the DOJ's own data.
I won't stop fighting to abolish ICE and impeach Kristi Noem for this lawlessness.
My full statement on Trump’s attack on Iran.
@algreen.house.gov had the courage to speak out last night about Trump’s racist post targeting our first Black President and First Lady.
Proud he’s a co-sponsor of my resolution to censure Trump.
Trump's despicable racism stands out as one of his most disgusting abuses of the presidency.

TAKES AWHILE BUT IMPRESSIVE
Trump is addressing Congress tonight with lies on top of lies—pretending inflation is solved, affordability isn’t a problem, and America is “better off.”
I’m not sitting through that. I’m outside at the People’s State of the Union—talking with people who actually feel the pain of Trump's policies.
The grift, the killings, the mass deportations—Trump knows it's OVER when Dems take the House. So tonight you’ll hear a mad king rage to his sycophants, telling lie after lie to justify the chaos and cruelty.
I think I'll pass.
Instead I'll be w/@moveon.org & @meidastouch.com at the People's SOTU.
“Judge" Cannon is a disgraceful hack campaigning to be a Trump Supreme Court Justice.
What must be in Jack Smith's report that caused Trump's private counsel to intervene against his own Justice Department to forever block its release?
SHAME ON THE HOUSE OF TRUMP
NEW: Cannon accused Smith of "brazen" defiance by continuing to compile the classified documents report even after she ruled his appointment unconstitutional. It will remain secret unless an appeals court overturns the decision.

The Kushner's fathers & fathers-in-law are BOTH convicted felons?
And one is the president and the other is the ambassador to France.
If this were just a confederacy of dunces it would be one thing, but...
Gov. Gavin Newsom was a big hit in Nashville yesterday.Went to several gatherings and warmly greeted at all
Today is the birthday of my beloved friend John Lewis.
He was the most respected member of Congress for his lifetime commitment to nonviolence and public change. It was the honor of a lifetime to serve with him. He taught me to get into “good trouble.” I think of him often.
It's another reason why I won’t stop fighting Trump’s EPA.
I led Democrats demanding transparency on Clean Air Act violators, I introduced the Clean Cloud Act w/ @whitehouse.senate.gov to put real standards and PENALTIES on AI data centers & cryptominers, and we are not slowing down.
More to come.
Trump is turning the EPA into the Environmental POLLUTION Agency.
By killing the endangerment finding, they are endangering all of us. More cities full of smog, more pollution and health problems, more irreversible impacts to nature and wildlife—that's what they're giving us. So much for MAHA.
🚨MAJOR TRUMP LOSS
SCOTUS ruled he has NO authority to impose his tariff regime. Trump tariffs have already been raising prices + inflation for months—the unwind will bring even more chaos.
This is what happens when trade policy is driven by ego instead of expertise, or following the constitution.
I won’t sit in the People’s House and listen to a convicted felon deliver another night of lies about ICE killings, his vanity projects, or self-serving pardons while the GOP cheers.
I’ll skip the spectacle & spend the night at the People’s State of the Union w/@moveon.org, @meidastouch.com & more.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
