Unlike Republicans, my priority is helping American families. That is why I am voting NO on the Republicans’ America Last Budget.
Republicans claim there is still no money for:

❌Disaster relief
❌American families
Yet they want to give $73 BILLION for Trump’s illegal and reckless war in Iran and absolutely nothing for natural disaster survivors in my district and nationwide.

Now more than ever, I will keep pushing to pass my bipartisan Asunción Valdivia Heat Illness, Injury, and Fatality Prevention Act to establish guaranteed workplace heat protections in federal law. These protections will save lives, and I will always stand with our workers.
Hardworking Americans are dying from heat on the job, and Republicans are saying they don’t deserve basic protections to prevent it.
But today, House Committee on Education and Workforce Republicans marked up their Heat Workforce Standards Act to prohibit the Secretary of Labor from enforcing a federal workplace heat stress standard. It's cruel and indefensible.
The people who keep our country running, from farmworkers to delivery drivers, often work under extremely hot conditions, risking heat stroke and, too often, their lives. These deaths are preventable with commonsense protections like rest, water, and shade.
Dreamers, TPS holders, and DED recipients have built their lives, families, and careers in the United States. They deserve permanent protection, not Trump's constant threat of detention and deportation.
We must pass the bipartisan American Dream and Promise Act NOW.
