NEWS: Just a few hours ago, House Republicans unveiled their budget blueprint that promises to pay for their billionaire tax cuts by slashing critical programs that the Central Coast relies on.
🚨 Reminder: Telephone Town Hall happening TONIGHT at 5:30 p.m. PT!
Looking forward to answering all of your questions and touching base with each of you.
Dial-in at: 833-946-1549 ☎️
On the Central Coast, we are not taking invasions of privacy or theft of taxpayer dollars lying down!
Proud to have been a part of this definitive display of the strength and passion of #CA24 residents that is making waves coast to coast!
Donald Trump's soft spot for Vladimir Putin isn't just autocratic bromance.
It is having devastating implications for the people of Ukraine.
Publicly giving up on repelling Russia from Ukraine's borders is a devastating capitulation and a betrayal of America's commitment to freedom.
🚨 Know a project impacted by this funding freeze? Let me know ⬇️
To fight back against this dangerous executive action, my Central Coast colleagues and I are demanding full transparency from the Trump Admin. on what projects and investments are being targeted. ⬇️
Donald Trump's federal funding freeze is STILL directly impacting the Central Coast.
In just #CA24 alone, we're tracking more than $22 million currently frozen—the majority of which is from programs funded by the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law or Inflation Reduction Act.
A major storm is headed towards the Central Coast! ⛈️

Today is National 211 Day! A big thanks to CommUnify Santa Barbara for hosting a fantastic 211 Community Day this past weekend.
It was a great opportunity to connect with local organizations and share valuable resources for everyone in Santa Barbara County!
Couldn’t make it? Don’t worry — join me THIS WEDNESDAY at 5:30pm for a telephone town hall ⬇️

Thank you to everyone who joined me this weekend at the emergency town hall! I know we’re facing difficult times, but it was great to share an update on what I’m doing to fight back against policies that are hurting the Central Coast.
This leaves families who have been scammed by predatory financial institutions & big banks out to dry.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social won’t let this stand.
President Musk is making good on his promise to “delete” the agency in charge of promoting fairness and transparency for mortgages, credit cards, and other consumer financial products and services.
On top of harmful executive actions, some of President Trump's new policies are just plain ~creepy~.
A new DOT memo says that grants should be allocated to areas with "high marriage and birth rates".
I asked a panel of maritime witnesses about it.
Watch their telling silence⬇️
The coup at USAID was only the start — we know that public education, health care, and other vital funding are next on their list.
Don't just take my word for it, they're admitting it. ⬇️
Met with advocates for the Central Coast's transgender community to discuss the new administration's attacks on LGBTQI+ individuals and the ways we can fight back.
I'll always fight to ensure the Central Coast remains a safe and inclusive place for all—regardless of who is in the White House.
🌟 Congratulations to Mary Verdin, a devoted leader in SLO, on being named the 2024 Citizen of the Year at the SLO Chamber Annual Dinner — thank you for your dedication to our community, Mary!

to introduce the Taxpayer Data Protection Act, which will block unelected billionaires and right-wing activists from accessing private data of everyday Americans.
