That’s why I’m working across the aisle on legislation to build more homes and deliver the financing to help Nevada families afford them.

Owning your own home has gotten out of reach for too many Nevadans, and many are struggling just to keep a roof over their heads. We’re facing an affordability crisis in this country, and we need to act.
Donald Trump wants the Federal Reserve to rubber-stamp his every whim, potentially adding even more instability to our economy while prices soar. Kevin Warsh hasn't convinced me that he'll actually stand up to Trump and protect the independence of the Fed. So I voted against him.
But once again, Senate Republicans chose big corporations over working Americans.
You shouldn't have to sign away your rights to open a credit card or take out a loan. That's why @democrats.senate.gov and I took over the Senate floor to reinstate commonsense protections against companies including illegal terms in their fine print.

For many Nevada families, high gas prices under Donald Trump’s leadership means they’re having to cancel vacations, skip going out to eat, and buy less. This will have a trickle down effect on our local economy.
We need real solutions to bring down these prices at the gas pump.
Nevada families are having to pay more and more just to get the essentials they need, and what is the President focused on? Getting his Republican allies to give him a billion dollars for a ballroom.
For the first time in three years, Americans' wages are no longer outpacing inflation, further compounding affordability concerns. https://cnn.it/3R39Zbe
Yeah, we can tell.
Donald Trump and Stephen Miller aren't simply ignoring DACA renewals. They are strategically slowing down application processing so Dreamers will lose their status and become targets for their deportation scheme.
It's evil, frankly, and it is not who we are as a country.

As gas prices rise and the cost of living climbs because of this reckless war, this Admin is asking taxpayers to spend another $1 BILLION on a ballroom.
Hardworking Americans are struggling to get by while this White House treats taxpayer dollars like Monopoly money.
It was wonderful to meet the crew of Artemis II this afternoon and hear about their awe-inspiring mission to the Moon!
Americans have paid over $28 billion more for gas since Trump began his war in Iran. And that’s not even counting the price hikes on everything that needs to be trucked to stores across America.
Let's be clear about what's happening here: Trump is blocking energy projects that could help lower costs for families and businesses because he personally doesn't like windmills.
He's picking winners and losers while driving up costs for everyone else.

That's not what this country is about, and it's why @democrats.senate.gov blocked this voter suppression bill.

It was obvious from the start that Trump's SAVE America Act wasn't about election integrity. GOP leaders are worried about voters holding them accountable, so they want to make sure only "the right people" are voting to protect themselves.
Because of Trump’s policies and offensive rhetoric, tourists from Canada and other countries are choosing not to come to the United States. That’s not just a number in a report, our small businesses and workers here in Nevada are seeing it every day.
Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and they deserve to have leaders who fight for them – not make matters worse.

I heard directly from entrepreneurs in Las Vegas about the impact of tourism declines, higher costs, and tariffs on their businesses. They can’t afford more of Trump’s failed policies and broken promises.
Senate Democrats stopped Trump’s SAVE America Act by making it clear how harmful this voter suppression bill would be to citizens.
This is a victory for Nevadans, and now I'm focused on continuing to protect our state from Trump's attempts to silence our voices.
While workers struggle to fill up their cars in the morning, this is what the President has to say about gas prices:
