At pivotal moments in our history, it's never the story of cowards. It's the story of heroes. Heroes like the law enforcement officers who defended the Capitol on January 6th. Their bravery is a reminder that all of us play a role to defend our democracy.
This plaque was made to honor law enforcement who heroically responded on January 6th. It's nowhere to be found in the Capitol. Why? Because Speaker Johnson & Republicans refuse to put it up. They can try to rewrite history, but the American people know the truth.
Americans are struggling just to get by. Yet Trump is focused on toppling foreign regimes. Spending billions of taxpayer dollars overseas won't make rent, groceries, or health care more affordable.
Trump is trying to silence his political opponents or anyone who dares to hold him accountable. In moments like this, fear is contagious—but so is courage. @captmarkkelly.bsky.social is a patriot. He has honorably served our country. He's never backed down from a fight, and I won't either.
The Defense Department will attempt to downgrade Democratic Sen. Mark Kelly’s retirement rank and pay, seeking to punish him for making a video along with other Democrats in Congress, including Colorado's Jason Crow, who told military members to refuse illegal orders. By @jennifershutt.bsky.social
As a three time combat veteran, I get pissed when a five-time draft dodger like Trump bangs the war drums from Mar-A-Lago. When politicians talk tough, it’s not their kids who get sent to war. It’s working class kids who have to fight.
Donald Trump says he’ll now run Venezuela. He’s focusing his time and your taxpayer dollars on nation-building and foreign wars. Meanwhile, he refuses to spend a penny on your health care or making life more affordable for you.
3/ Congress needs an immediate briefing on the Trump Administration's strategy for the day after. Donald Trump has already done incalculable damage to America’s reputation. We have to prevent this from spiraling into another nation-building disaster
2/ The Trump Administration repeatedly lied to Congress and the American people about Venezuela. Over and over, officials testified that this was not about regime change.
1/ After decades of failed conflicts, trillions of taxpayer dollars spent, and thousands of lives lost, Americans are struggling to get by and are exhausted by endless wars. It’s true that Maduro is a brutal dictator. It’s also true that not every problem is ours to fix. But now this one is.
The corruption under this President is on full display. Trump uses the federal government to insulate himself and allies, while at the same time trying to silence his political opponents.
The President vetoed a bill to deliver safe, reliable drinking water to rural Coloradans. Congress unanimously passed this bill. But he’s punishing us because we won’t bend to his corruption. Trump’s pettiness is a disgrace. Congress must overturn his veto.
Merry Christmas! Wishing a happy holiday season to folks across Colorado and to all the servicemembers, law enforcement, and first responders working today to keep us safe. We’re grateful for all you do.
The President’s retribution against Colorado is absolutely shameful. Donald Trump shows us how sick and deranged he is—denying families disaster relief in a time of need. Colorado won't bow down to a wannabe King.
Donald Trump and the Justice Department had 30 days to release the Epstein files. The law is clear. Now he's breaking the law to continue the cover up. Survivors deserve justice. The American people deserve transparency.
DOJ won’t meet Friday deadline to release all the Epstein files
Trump & Republicans continue to unfairly punish states like Colorado. Dismantling research institutions in our state will make it harder to predict wildfires, floods, and extreme weather events. This short-sighted decision will cost us money, jeopardize lives, and hurt Colorado.
