Republicans gutted emergency services, then dragged their feet when Texas was flooding.
Rep. Casar and I are demanding answers from FEMA, NOAA, and the Commerce Department’s Inspector General about the delays, the cuts, & why help didn’t come sooner.
Texans deserve answers & real accountability.

So we’re demanding a congressional hearing—because this can’t go unchecked. (2/2)
Over the past 6 months, Trump’s FEMA has canceled critical grants, fired folks left and right, and weakened its ability to actually do the job—including helping families prepare for and recover from the devastating floods in Central Texas.
Texans are paying the price for his recklessness. (1/2)
We shouldn't need a Black Women’s Equal Pay Day, but here we are. Still underpaid. Still undervalued.
66 cents on the dollar means we lose thousands every year, for doing the same job.
Over a lifetime? That’s hundreds of thousands gone.
Pay Black women. Period.
The 14th Amendment was ratified today in 1868—guaranteeing equal protection under the law.
157 years later, Trump’s trying to erase it like it was a typo.
No birthright citizenship. No due process. Just Trump doing what he does best—breaking the law.
Oversight Republicans spent their morning trying to grill Joe Biden’s doctor.
I’m not sure why they’re so obsessed with him or stuck in the past. But, they could’ve been fixing the chaos they created, investigating real corruption, or doing literally anything useful.
I’m pretty sure being blatantly offensive is not how you go about conducting diplomacy… (2/2)
Trump never misses an opportunity to be racist and wrong, and every day he finds a new way to be embarrassing.
Asking the President of Liberia where he learned English when it’s literally the official language is peak ignorance. (1/2)

My heart is with everyone impacted by the devastating floods across Texas—those who have lost loved ones & those still searching.
Many of the impacted families are from right here in Dallas. We’re mourning with you and praying for comfort, healing, & peace in the days ahead.
TX-30 stands with you.
Happy Independence Day, TX-30.
Let this day be a reminder that democracy doesn’t protect itself.
We’ve got to keep showing up, speaking out, and standing firm—until freedom feels real for everyone.
Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett’s Statement on the Passage of the Republicans’ Big Ugly Bill
Republicans are still trying to pass their Big Betrayal Bill.
They held the previous vote open for hours—and STILL don’t have their shit together.
Maybe the problem isn’t the vote count. Maybe it’s the bill.
You can hold the vote open all night…trash is still trash.
Have questions? Call our office at 202-225-8885.

Rep. Crockett was excited to connect with y’all tonight—but she wants to be fully present and attentive for the entire conversation. We appreciate your understanding and hope you’ll join us next week for important legislative and district updates.

Due to ongoing votes in the House related to the Budget bill, our telephone town hall is being rescheduled to NEXT Wednesday, July 9 at 6 PM CST. (1/3)
I went to the House Floor to stop the cuts to SNAP and Medicaid.
Republicans blocked it—wouldn’t even consider it.
So let’s be clear: they know exactly what this bill will do. And they do. not. care.
Devastated to learn about the shooting at The Shops at RedBird—right here in our community.
My heart is with the loved ones of the victim, and I’m grateful to law enforcement for acting quickly.
Democrats will be holding the line—because somebody has to fight for the folks they’re so quick to leave behind, including their own constituents.
