LET'S BE CLEAR: This order will block QUALIFIED, PATRIOTIC, EXPERIENCED SERVICEMEMBERS from serving and defending our country. It DEGRADES OUR MILITARY READINESS during a recruitment shortage. Trump is prioritizing an anti-trans witch hunt over our national security. www.npr.org/sections/sho...
If Trump doesn't reverse course, millions could lose healthcare, food assistance, childcare, and even emergency services. We've heard reports of Medicaid portals being shut down and childcare funds being frozen. Trump is steering the US into a disaster of his own making.
Trump needs to reverse this immediately. It'll wreak havoc on TX hospitals, schools, police, food banks, & emergency responders that depend on federal grants. If you're in TX-30 & your organization is affected, I want to hear from you. Email us: digital.crockett@mail.house.gov
President Trump’s order freezing trillions of dollars in federal grants and loans sent officials at schools, hospitals, nonprofit organizations and many others into a frantic scramble to understand the extent of the directive. Here's what to know.
ICE reporting federal agents detained 84 people of “varying degrees of criminality,” is simply code for a blanket attempt at mass detentions and raids in our community. We deserve to know who is being detained and why! linkst.dallasnews.com/click/383606...
On International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we mourn the six million Jewish people and countless others who were murdered in the Holocaust by the forces of hate and bigotry. Now more than ever, we cannot be silent in the face of evil. #NeverAgain
Donald Trump gave us a bunch of broken promises—oh, sorry, I mean lies—and now we’re all stuck paying for it. Rule of law is being TRAMPLED, families are being TORN APART, and it's only been a WEEK. Is there a grade lower than an F?
The orange man’s purge of the Inspectors General isn’t just illegal—it’s a direct attack on our democracy and puts the safety of every American at risk. This reckless move must be reversed, and my colleagues and I demand that he comply with the law, no excuses.
Donald Trump's brazen attempt to purge Inspectors General violates the law, attacks our democracy, and undermines the safety of the American people. My fellow Ranking Members and I are demanding he reverse course and comply with the law.
Inspectors General are key public servants tasked with holding our government accountable. They’re independent, nonpartisan whose work is identifying fraud, waste, & importantly, abuse. Trump just fired them all. Make no mistake: he's purging those who will protect the rule of law.
Trump's 'Ban on Wind Power' order would make the Outer Continental Shelf ineligible for wind energy leases. Impacts: fewer renewable energy options for Americans, less competition and more profits for Big Oil and Gas, higher energy costs for consumers (9/9)
Trump's 'Destroy Alaska' orders would restore leases to extract and drill in the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge and deny the creation of an Indigenous Sacred Site there. Impacts: destruction of one the last pristine natural wonders in the US, harm to local fisheries (8/9)
Trump's 'Climate Change Denial' order would rescind several Biden orders addressing climate change, including his order assessing the financial costs of worsening climate change. Impacts: skyrocketing costs due to damage of businesses/infrastructure (7/9)
Trump's 'Freedom for Polluters' orders roll back federal regulations for fossil fuel extraction on public lands & requires agencies to draft plans to cut regulations 'burdensome' to big oil. Impacts: Fossil fuel companies are free to pollute without consequence (6/9)
Trump's 'anti-electric' order rescinds President Biden's policies boosting American electric vehicle production. Impacts: Growing Chinese dominance of electric vehicle market, loss of U.S. manufacturing jobs, increased carbon emissions (5/9)
