Donald Trump is conditioning federal funding to universities on the signing of a loyalty pledge to his agenda.
This reeks of authoritarianism, and the universities should reject this hostage-taking of their funding.
🤔 What do all these states have in common? Two Democratic senators.
This is bare-knuckled partisanship and also blatantly illegal.
Republicans control Congress and the White House. But they decided they would rather shut down the government than work across the aisle to stop a health care crisis of their own making.
House Democrats & I are going to fight, and we won’t give in until every American has the health care they need.
Once Adelita Grijalva is sworn in, she will be the 218th signature on the Epstein Files discharge petition.
However, Speaker Johnson canceled votes this week and let the government shut down instead of swearing her in. What is he so afraid of?
Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans are happy to let the government shut down and let you pay more for health care.
Their plan will double ACA marketplace premiums if they refuse to extend the assistance millions of Americans rely on to afford their health care.
Republicans: Extending tax breaks for billionaires that are already in law is actually free.
Also Republicans: Extending tax credits to keep health care costs down for middle-class Americans that are already in law is too expensive.
TrumpRx isn't a solution, it's a distraction. Democrats passed the Inflation Reduction Act, allowing Medicare to negotiate drug prices for the first time, while Trump is gutting NIH & the National Cancer Institute.
This will kill innovation while most Americans won't pay any less under this "plan."
Keeping our government open is Congress’s most basic job. Yet with hours until a shutdown, House Republicans are on vacation.
House Democrats and I are in Washington, ready to work to keep government open and lower health care costs.
If the shutdown happens tonight, the GOP owns it.
In Denver, nearly 15,000 women, infants, & children are dependent on WIC for groceries, nutrition counseling & breastfeeding support.
But Republicans are willing to rip this lifeline away with a government shutdown.
Families shouldn’t have to worry about feeding their kids because of GOP chaos.
Congressional Republicans are “split” on whether or not to raise health care costs by thousands of dollars?
Extending support for ACA premiums is a no-brainer, but clearly, Republican leaders are fine with letting health care costs skyrocket.
Our public lands belong to all of us. But Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans want to open them up to dangerous drilling.
On Public Lands Day, I’m fighting to protect Colorado’s precious lands and preserve our nation’s ecological & cultural heritage.
Donald Trump can’t even spell hepatitis right, why would you take medical advice from him?
Please consult your doctor who actually knows what they’re talking about.
The charges against James Comey are a gross weaponization of the judicial system.
Donald Trump is a wannabe dictator, using the Justice Department to go after his enemies in a clear step that is only seen in authoritarian regimes.
Every American should be outraged by Trump’s abuse of power.
RFK Jr., with zero medical credentials, wants to control women’s health, again.
Mifepristone is FDA-approved, has been safely taken for 25 years, and used in nearly 2/3 of U.S. abortions.
This is dangerous and absurd.
You know Donald Trump and Robert Kennedy Jr. went too far when J.D. Vance and Dr. Oz are on clean up duty for the administration.
The fact of the matter is that Americans should listen to doctors, not Trump or RFK Jr., when it comes to medical decisions.
Honored to receive @acscan.bsky.social’s National Distinguished Advocacy Award.
I will always fight for policies that support cancer patients, survivors, and their families, and continue to work alongside advocates leading the fight for a cancer-free future.
🚨 House Republicans want to rip away your health care to appease Trump. 🚨
Their cuts in the Big Bad Bill mean over 29K Denverites will lose Medicaid coverage & 22K more will see their costs skyrocket if they let ACA premium assistance expire.
I won’t let your health care take a backseat to Trump.
From day one, I’ve said Medicaid paperwork requirements don’t save money or make people healthier—and a watchdog just confirmed it. Yet Trump & his GOP allies jammed them into the Big Bad Bill, wasting taxpayer dollars & kicking people off their health care. We need real solutions. Not failed ideas.
Now more than ever, it is critical that Americans listen to their doctors and health care teams for medical advice.
The American people cannot trust RFK Jr. & Trump to put the American people's health and well being above their own evidence-free beliefs. (2/2)
RFK Jr. and Donald Trump have found neither a cause of autism nor a clearly effective treatment.
According to doctors and the best available science, Tylenol is safe and effective for use in pregnancy and helps avert greater risks from fever and pain. (1/2)
