Trump’s Big Ugly Bill is dangerous, putting patients and providers at risk.
If his cuts to Medicaid are passed, Colorado hospitals could lose $10 billion, making it harder for Coloradans to get the care they need.
I’m fighting to stop it because our communities can’t afford these cruel cuts.
Over the past few months, we’ve seen a disturbing pattern of ICE agents arresting individuals while wearing masks & carrying no identification. This practice is completely inappropriate in our democracy. I’m sponsoring the No Secret Police Act to ensure federal officers can’t operate in the shadows.
NEW: As video and news reports of immigrants and U.S. citizens being detained by masked men claiming to be ICE agents continue to dominate headlines and spark fears from coast to coast, Attorney General Pam Bondi told Congress she had no idea this was happening.

I won’t stop fighting against this extreme anti-choice agenda.
Nearly 60 years after Congress guaranteed Medicaid patients the right to choose their provider, SCOTUS just took that right away from recipients in South Carolina who rely on Planned Parenthood.
Denying patients access to trusted providers will have devastating ripple effects nationwide.

Three years after #RoevWade was overturned, we will continue to hold Republicans accountable for the harms caused by their agenda.

My statement on the third anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization Ruling.
His story is why I'm fighting to build on the success of Cures and keep investing in the science that brings lifesaving treatments within reach.
When I was working to pass the 21st Century Cures Act in 2015, I met Max Schill—a young boy with Noonan Syndrome—who helped us get this bill over the finish line.
10 years later, it was great to reconnect with Max.

Today’s Health Subcommittee hearing with RFK Jr. showcased his ineptitude, inexperience, & inability to explain the massive cuts that he’s greenlit across HHS. His budget request will make Americans sicker and poorer, & his stewardship of HHS is having devastating consequences on our public health.
Today, I voted against the motion to table the resolution for articles of impeachment. I believe that given the president’s self-enriching actions since taking office, this deserves a full investigation — starting with a referral to the House Judiciary Committee.
Hospitals, universities, and community health organizations say critical funds are being held up by DOGE.
I asked RFK Jr. if HHS even did a cost-benefit analysis on DOGE's wasteful “Defend the Spend” initiative. He couldn’t answer.
If he can't answer the question, who's calling the shots?
RFK Jr.’s reckless cuts throughout HHS are gutting the programs and personnel behind America’s health breakthroughs.
As the top Democrat on the Health Subcommittee, I’m sounding the alarm today: RFK Jr.’s agenda is dangerous—and threatens our health, economy, and global leadership in science.
Good to see the Senate Parliamentarian remove Republicans’ cruel effort to strip nutrition assistance away from vulnerable Americans out of the Big, Ugly Bill.
While this is good news, I’m still focused on fighting this horrible bill until it’s defeated.
My statement on Trump's reckless and unconstitutional strikes on Iran.
Today, we honor #Juneteenth—a celebration of the freedom, resilience, and joy of Black Americans.
It’s also a reminder that justice must never be delayed—and that our work to build a fairer, more inclusive America continues.
Great to visit the Warren Village at Alameda Early Learning Center, where kids from southwest Denver are getting high-quality early education and families are supported on the path to economic mobility.
I was proud to help secure federal funding to make this transformative project possible.
This is a dangerous attack on health care and our kids.
Every kid deserves the chance to grow up healthy & thrive, including trans kids.
This ruling is a cruel and devastating step backward. Courts have no business determining medically-necessary care.
Those decisions should be left to families and their doctors.
As a member of the Litigation Task Force, I’m proud to join my colleagues in filing an amicus brief against the Trump Admin’s unlawful cuts to NIH research.
Congress, not Trump, has the power to fund life-saving science that millions of Americans rely on.
We won’t let this attack go unchecked.
