House Republicans are so focused on appeasing Trump & giving tax cuts to billionaires that they are gutting essential health care programs and providers.
I called out their cuts throughout E&Cs' 26-hour markup & will continue to do so as they try to jam this monstrosity of a bill through Congress.
The room filled back up today at the Energy & Commerce markup, but it was a small, intrepid group of women's health advocates who stayed with us all night.

I’m fighting back against the GOP’s extreme agenda to make health care less accessible.
Planned Parenthood is wildly popular and a trusted source for health care across the country. In Colorado, Planned Parenthood serves nearly 60,000 patients every year, many on Medicaid, for health care such as cancer screenings, birth control, and annual physicals.
House Republicans are hellbent on ripping away women’s health care by banning federal funds to Planned Parenthood.
These requirements are not about saving money. They’re about paying for tax cuts for billionaires.
For the millions of Americans who would lose their health care, I’m fighting back.

The GOP's bill stripping away Americans’ health care is filled with vague, burdensome requirements that will throw eligible people off Medicaid, just like in Arkansas and Georgia.

House Republicans’ math is not adding up. You can’t cut $715 billion from Medicaid without kicking eligible people off their benefits.
No matter how often they claim that eligible recipients won’t be impacted, the numbers don’t lie. Americans will lose access to care because of their bill.
