Connecticut businesses paid $1.5 billion in tariffs this last year. The "Liberation Day" tariffs were illegal, & now a court has ruled against Trump's new ones too.
Trump’s tariff mania is crushing small businesses & the middle class. Congress must take back our tariff authority

Republicans are on notice—we are still coming for their majority. All options are on the table.
I joined the Fair Haven Day parade over the weekend to celebrate the rich culture & vibrant community in our treasured New Haven neighborhood.
Thanks to Junta & their youth leaders for organizing this joyous event!
I held a roundtable on soaring energy & gas prices amid Trump's Iran war.
While Republicans defend Trump’s war, I'm:

I had the pleasure of reading to first grade students at Ridge Road Elementary in North Haven with First Selectman Mike Freda.
We talked about the importance of voting & the students unanimously & eagerly voted to open a garden at their school!
Thanks @morelle.house.gov & @jahimes.bsky.social for joining me in New Haven to hold a shadow hearing highlighting how @housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting to safeguard democracy from an authoritarian takeover.
Fair elections are the bedrock of our democracy, & we must fight to protect it.
Young Americans aren't falling for President Trump's economic gaslighting.
The only ones experiencing a "golden age" under this administration are large corporations, the wealthy, & Trump's own family members.
Gas prices just reached another high since the start of Trump's illegal war in Iran.
Meanwhile, Republicans want to spend $1 billion of YOUR taxpayer money for the President's gilded ballroom.
This is as out of touch as it is wasteful. Americans deserve better.
I have not and will not vote to reauthorize FISA for the long run without serious reform.
President Trump cannot be trusted with these surveillance powers, and Congress must stop handing over our authority to the White House.
Congratulations to New Havens very own CTMirror for receiving its first Pulitzer Prize for local reporting on their 'On the Hook' series!
The deep dive into predatory towing practices by Ginny Monk and Dave Altimari with ProPublica has led to real change in CT!
America is built on the idea that eligible voters can express their will through free & fair elections.
House Dems are fighting back against President Trump's efforts to crack that foundation & undermine our democracy.
We must relentlessly protect the sacred right to vote.

Restoring access to mifepristone the right thing to do--this case should be thrown out entirely.
Reproductive health decisions are between a woman and her doctor, and they must stay that way.
The survival of our democracy—our great American experiment in government of, by and for the people—is currently at stake.
Tune in to hear how @housedemocrats.bsky.social are fighting for election security, voting rights, and anti-corruption reforms.

I introduced legislation that is nearly identical to the DHS bill that passed today back in February.
I encourage Republicans to resume negotiations to reform our immigration enforcement agencies who have abused, detained & killed law-abiding U.S. citizens with impunity.
For years, the federal government has amassed more & more power to spy on Americans, with little oversight to prevent abuses of power & harassment of law-abiding citizens.
I voted against reauthorizing these FISA powers without reforms—we can’t trust Trump's loyalists with our privacy.
My full statement on the Supreme Court Decision to Gut the Voting Rights Act: delauro.house.gov/media-center...
Today’s decision will drastically harm voting rights. We must guarantee citizens’ participation and representation in our democracy & protect the sacred right to vote which has made this nation great.
Failure risks the end of American democracy.
