[2/2] U.S. air defense interceptors diverted to the Middle East mean more missiles and drones Putin can fire at Ukraine. And Russia once again has an opportunity to work with Iran against the United States.
[1/2] Excellent summary by Biden’s former national security advisor Jake Sullivan regarding how Trump’s unjustified war with Iran is helping his pal Putin in so many ways. Rising oil prices mean more money pouring into the Kremlin’s coffers.
[2/2] Meanwhile, the monetary cost to taxpayers will continue for years as Republican Appropriations Chair Tom Cole affirmed today: “I think war is never paid for when you fight it, it’s paid for over time.”
[1/2] The true cost of Trump’s unnecessary war is felt by those who suffer and their families. The casualty and wounded count will grow substantially if Trump deploys ground troops, an option he refuses to rule out.
Trump loses once again on his phony claim that only foreign countries pay his tariff taxes. Over 900 U.S. businesses are suing the Trump regime for refunds on $175 billion in tariffs, which the Supreme Court says Trump illegally imposed — costs that raised prices for businesses and consumers.
The chaos across multiple airports is a totally unnecessary Republican-created problem. Dems have proposed funding for TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard, yet Republicans – who hold a majority in both the House and Senate – continue to hold these agencies hostage in order to get more funding for ICE.
Though the chief mediator in the US/Iranian negotiations had indicated that “a peace deal is within our reach,” Trump rushed to war. Failing once again, the self-proclaimed "world’s best negotiator” instead launched an attack costing about $1B daily--leaving America poorer and our families less safe
Great evening, celebrating, and supporting the important work of United Way for Greater Austin. Our friend, CEO Ingrid Taylor, leads a strong team, making a difference in the lives of so many of our neighbors.
[2/2] Earlier he indicated he may dispatch American ground troops into Iran, since air attacks can take him only so far. This is a path to endless Middle East conflict—quagmire Trump. He can distract for awhile but ultimately his costly failures abroad will only add to his failures at home.
[1/2] As another report of lost American jobs indicates his failed economic policies have left more American families struggling, Trump rejects any negotiated end to the illegal war he started while insisting upon “unconditional surrender.” www.nbcnews.com/politics/whi...
[2/2]...60 Minutes changing drastically along with other CBS news. Now CNN is under threat. When independent media is not available to hold elected officials accountable through investigative journalism and to regularly separate fact from fiction, lies prevail and democracy shrinks.
[1/2] Like authoritarians everywhere, Trump and his powerful billionaire enablers are choking off major news media that might criticize him. After new CBS leadership censored 60 Minutes to please Trump, they have his favor to take over CNN. Washington Post is shrinking...
[1/2] Unlike any other president before him, Trump continues to bypass Congress and spends $1B a day on his illegal war with Iran. He couldn’t find money for groceries or doctor’s visits but somehow has now found tens of billions of dollars for bombs.
[2/2] … was invaluable in the immediate response that saved lives in the awful mass-shooting at Buford’s. As gun violence continues to threaten our communities, it is imperative we continue to invest in the preparedness of our first responders
[1/2]Having secured the first federal funding for the training of local law enforcement and school officials at the Advanced Law Enforcement Rapid Response Training Center when I represented Hays County and Texas State U, I am pleased to hear from our able APD Chief Lisa Davis that ALERRT’s training
[2/2] While millions of Americans struggle to afford healthcare and groceries, Trump is spending about $1B a day on killing in what could become an endless war. He’s already requesting approval of supplemental appropriations.
[1/2] On tomorrow’s spring forward Sunday with daylight savings, I will be springing forward with @velshi.com on @msnowevents.bsky.social about 9:20 CST to discuss Trump’s illegal war on Iran and the toll it is taking.
Pardons, jobs in the Trump regime, and military funerals for insurrectionist criminals. Meanwhile, our Capitol Police officers, who saved lives on January 6, were snubbed for 3 years by Republicans, who very belatedly hung a memorial plaque in the dark of night.
[2/2] The reforms we hope to see from DHS are unlikely to come from newly nominated Senator Mullin, who has defended every Trump action and comment on most any subject.
