Donald Trump authorized Elon Musk to run roughshod through our federal government—assuring his access to your personal information such as bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, and health information.
Meanwhile, every Republican lawmaker refusing to speak out is complicit.

Despite a court order to resume paying vital programs like Head Start and community health centers, Trump is still delaying payment to many.
His interference with vulnerable children’s access to a pediatrician and preschool is deplorable and illegal.
I’ll be joining @velshimsnbc.bsky.social at 10amCT / 11amET to talk about Trump’s wrongdoing and efforts to dismantle key government agencies.

Gleeful billionaires at home and adversaries around the world are cheering on the destruction of an agency that saves millions. JFK created USAID to represent “our political obligations as the single largest counter to the adversaries of freedom." Abandoning those obligations endangers us all.
"Future generations will marvel that it wasn’t China’s actions that eroded US standing. Instead, it was a US president and the billionaire he unleashed to shoot first and aim later, eliminating an institution that is a cost-effective example of what once distinguished the US from our adversaries."
Instead of a trade war that nobody wins, I have joined colleagues in introducing a bipartisan bill to strengthen the United States’ economic partnership with the Czech Republic, easing travel and investment between our two nations.
While never elected, Elon Musk elected to invade the privacy of every American by accessing confidential information such as bank account numbers, Social Security numbers, healthcare records, and tax data.
I joined @waysmeanscmte.bsky.social to demand answers on this Trump/Musk scheme.
Wrecking the agency for international development undermines our national security, whatever the motive.
Trump appointed white nationalist Darren Beattie as our diplomatic spokesperson to the world.
Beattie objects to "coddling the feelings of women” since “competent white men must be in charge if you want things to work.” Yet he shows that Trump Admin male competency is in short supply.
Last week's tragic plane crash hit close to home in Austin; our airport has had five near collisions. We need more air traffic controllers to keep our skies safe, but Trump’s approach means even less safety.
Blaming DEI policies for the loss of 67 lives is Trump’s way to distract from his failures.
Despite promising to keep us out of foreign conflicts, now Trump would spend billions to send US troops into Gaza to remove 2M Palestinians from their homeland.
While distracting us with this insanity, Trump is dismantling our national security by firing any official who has dared to question him.
Our communities are not safer after Trump’s pardon of Ross Ulbricht, creator of Silk Road (a drug marketplace reportedly tied to 6 deaths) that facilitated the sale of illicit substances, including heroin. The pardon puts families at risk, just like his decision to pardon violent Jan 6 felons.
I gathered at the Capitol with colleagues & freedom-loving Ukrainians to affirm our continued support for Ukrainian victory.
Trump can be the President who did better than his predecessor by getting Ukraine weapons faster or he can be “Trump the Great Appeaser” who is too weak to stand up to Putin.
I will continue to strongly oppose the Musk/Trump government wrecking ball, empowered by GOP silence. (2/2)
When after initially being denied access to classified information on USAID servers, one billionaire forces his way into headquarters, closes the building to employees, and declares the federal agency dead. We are truly on a path to dictatorship. (1/2)
$50 million funding condoms in Gaza. Never happened.
Just another myth from America’s #1 "make it up" artist peddling more lies about US foreign assistance. And Trump also falsely claimed that Hamas used them to make bombs. Condoms have been used for many things, but bomb-making is surely a first.
Listen to Reagan: “Our peaceful trading partners are not our enemies; they are our allies. We should beware of the demagogues who are ready to declare a trade war against our friends—weakening our economy, our national security & the entire free world—all while cynically waving the American flag.”
Patriotic Americans, whom Trump calls “radical lunatics,” offer compassionate care and advance our national security.
Musk declaring “time for it to die” really means it’s time for people to die. (2/2)
USAID provides food for refugees fleeing Sudan war; clean water for war-torn Ukrainian communities; medical supplies for victims of land mine accidents in Laos; and shelter for millions of displaced Venezuelans in Peru. (1/2)
