More broken promises: Trump & Republicans promised $1,000 in tax refunds but families are getting just a third of that. With prices going up from tariffs & the War in Iran, the average American has less money in their pocket now than last year, while the wealthiest got massive tax cuts.
Saddened to hear of the passing of my former colleague Eliot Engel. He was a dedicated public servant, strong defender of human rights abroad, & tireless advocate for the people of New York. My thoughts & prayers are with his family & community.
Today marks the 47th anniversary of the Taiwan Relations Act, which has been the foundation for strong U.S.-Taiwan relations. Taiwan is one of our closest friends & trading partners, playing a critical role in WA’s economy. I will continue supporting a strong partnership between us.
