You can now visit Healthcare.gov to see how much your health care premiums will cost next year. Unfortunately many will see their costs skyrocket.
Attended the 20th Annual Compassionate Feast in Plymouth, an event organized by the Humane Society of Huron Valley. Funds raised during the evening directly benefit lifesaving programs that provide shelter, medical care, and adoption services for pets in need.
Canada is more than an ally — they’re family to Michigan. We share bridges, lakes, and livelihoods. A trade war hurts workers on both sides of the border. Time to stop this war and restore trust. 🌉🇨🇦🇺🇸
If you’re a Michigander feeling the impact of the shutdown and rely on SNAP to put food on the table, know you are not alone. One source of help are local food banks, which are trying to gear up to help.

They also have a facility in my district in Ypsilanti. They make high-performance glass windows that reduce energy consumption. Federal incentives helped them, now those same incentives are being targeted. Why take away federal funding that has proven beneficial?
Toured LuxWall's new Detroit manufacturing factory with Governor Whitmer.
Their clean manufacturing is creating hundreds of local jobs, saving energy, and reducing utility costs. But under this administration, their federal funding is under attack.
Celebrated the official beginning of Diwali last night at BAPS in Canton. The little girls were excited and looking forward to fireworks. It reminds you there is hope and light in our world — we need to take the time to remember it.
Joined veterans and Ypsilanti Township Supervisor Brenda Stumbo for the daily placing of 22 crosses each day in October.
Every year, I look forward to joining the SafeHouse Purple Run to raise awareness for domestic violence. Money raised goes directly to helping SafeHouse provide vital shelter, counseling, and support services to survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
