Donald Trump violated the Constitution when he bombed Iran. Only Congress can declare war. I'm headed to vote for @kaine.senate.gov's War Power Resolution to rein Trump in. Americans didn't vote for another endless war in the Middle East.
Jenny is a mom and cancer survivor who relies on Medicaid for health care. Millions of people like Jenny are at risk of losing their health insurance under Republicans' "Big Beautiful Bill." Together, with brave people like Jenny, we can protect health care for millions.
Massachusetts has always led the fight towards true equality, and the federal government should follow. Today, I introduced the Refund Equality Act, to reverse discrimination and get couples the refunds they are owed. Every day is a good day to celebrate love.
At a town hall, I asked folks to raise their hands if they know someone who depends on Medicaid. Every hand went up. Trump’s Big Beautiful Bill cuts Medicaid. Little babies shouldn't lose their health care so Jeff Bezos can buy a 5th yacht.
Donald Trump's Social Security Admin is LYING to the American people. They said call wait times are down to minutes. Well, I investigated and found people are waiting HOURS for help — and that's if they get help at all. They need to stop the cover up and fix this giant failure.
Budgets aren't just numbers—they’re about values. We can grow our economy by investing in child care, housing, and health care that helps families. But ripping away health care from those who need it to fund giveaways for billionaires and corporations? That's morally bankrupt.
The Supreme Court just paved the way for states to “defund” Planned Parenthood. At the same time, Republicans are pushing a bill that would go even further—closing 1 in 3 locations. Americans will have nowhere else to go to get the health care that Planned Parenthood provides.
The reports coming out of ICE field offices are deeply concerning. So is the fact that ICE is trying to keep those horrific conditions hidden from the American people. We’re sounding the alarm. ICE’s abuse of power has to end.
It’s cruel to send Palestinians desperate for food into a death trap. And now, Trump wants to give the Netanyahu backed "Gaza Humanitarian Foundation" $30 million. We should not send a single cent. We must stop the suffering in Gaza and fund real aid organizations.
Chair Powell confirmed Trump’s dumb trade war is driving the Fed’s forecast of higher inflation. The Fed now sees slower growth AND higher prices not just this year, but for the next two years. Donald Trump is standing in the way of lower rates and lower costs for Americans.
Oh so Senate Republicans ADMIT that the Big Beautiful Bill cuts Medicaid. Their bill effectively defunds rural hospitals. Some simple math: $15 billion does not plug a nearly $1 trillion hole. It doesn't add up! This is a self-inflicted wound and this band-aid won't heal it.
Reposted byElizabeth Warren
WARREN: What has changed in the last six months that has caused the Fed to forecast substantial higher inflation, somewhat higher unemployment, and lower economic growth than you did in December? POWELL: Some of it is people working in the possible effects in the short term of tariffs
Mitch McConnell told Senate Republicans that Americans concerned about losing Medicaid will “get over it." No one will “get over” losing a loved one because Republicans in Congress failed them.
