The @phillytrib.bsky.social is correct: "The president is wrong. He did not inherit a mess. Under former President Joe Biden, the economy closed last year running at a solid pace with inflation going down. Prices were steadily easing before most of Trump’s tariffs were implemented."

NPR & PBS provide valuable, nonpartisan information and education to ALL Americans- but it seems President Trump can’t handle anything but fawning coverage.
If Republicans actually want to balance the budget, they can work with Democrats to close tax loopholes that favor their billionaire donors.

GOOD news: Our bill apparently put the Trump administration on notice, but @delauro.house.gov, Rep. Larson, @frankel.house.gov & I are NOT stopping now!
We’ll keep pushing to protect seniors by capping “clawbacks” of people’s Social Security at 10% of their monthly checks, not Trump’s 50 or 100%!
If the policies of Donald Trump and Congressional Republicans impacts you- your experience matters and I want to hear from you!

Moving Waltz, a walking national security risk, from one job to another is NOT accountability.
Trump should fire Waltz & Hegseth now, as I've called for repeatedly. And Senate Republicans should NOT confirm Waltz as America’s ambassador to the United Nations. #SignalGate

Congressman Evans voted for the Equality Act when it passed the House under a Democratic majority. The bill unfortunately stalled in the Senate.
Just today, some House Republicans said they’ll *only* accept $500 billion in Medicaid cuts – which would still be the largest in history!
I voted no and will continue voting against this disastrous budget scheme. #HandsOffMedicaid
Caroline’s son has autism and is about to graduate from high school. Medicaid provides him with the services he needs to work independently & live with dignity.
Caroline said it best: "My son is not waste. [He's] not a fraud. And he is not an abuse of the systems that are trying to support him."
After Abby’s kid, Hallie, was born prematurely, they spent four months in Pennsylvania Hospital’s NICU, undergoing multiple surgeries. And when Hallie came home, the work really began.
Without Medicaid, all of this would have been impossible to pay for- even with private insurance.
From childbirth to nursing home care, 1 in 4 Pennsylvanians count on Medicaid for health care coverage.
Behind these numbers are Pennsylvanians whose lives could be upended by the Trump-backed GOP Medicaid cuts.
Their stories are why I’m fighting to PROTECT Medicaid in Congress. 🧵👇
Trump’s message to hard-working American families: Because of Trump’s own doing, fewer everyday goods will be available - and they’re going to cost you more.
Clothes, shoes, appliances, construction materials – not just dolls. #TrumpSlump
As a longtime supporter of LGBTQ+ rights, I’m proud to stand with my @equality.house.gov colleagues in reintroducing the #EqualityAct.
It’s far past time these vital protections for LGBTQ+ Americans are enshrined into federal law!
And while Congressional Republicans are content sitting idlily by and doing Donald Trump's dirty work, my Democratic colleagues and I are fighting back:
It's been 100 days of Donald Trump's higher costs, chaotic policies, corruption, and reckless leadership.
From cutting critical Social Security and veterans services to crashing our economy and wrecking people’s savings- this disastrous administration isn't working for the American people.

In 100 days, Trump has:
• Plunged markets to new lows
• Set us on a recession course
• Attacked Social Security
• Gut health infrastructure
• Tanked consumer confidence
• Emptied our ports
• Forced a global trade war
The American people are paying attention and it shows:
"CNN Poll: Trump’s approval at 100 days lower than any president in at least seven decades"

Today, on #WorkersMemorialDay, we remember those who tragically did not return home from their shift.
As we remember these workers, we must recommit to the fight for the living, because a safe workplace is every worker's right 🕯️
