That’s why I’m excited to announce that we’re back with another telephone town hall on Tuesday, April 21st at 6:30 PM. You can sign up at the link below to receive a phone call and join the conversation! 📞

Since taking office, my team and I have hosted 23 town halls – from large in-person town halls, conversations at local libraries, to telephone town halls – and the highlight of every one is hearing from you!
We must hold this agency to their word to ensure people are treated with dignity and respect – and we will not stop until every question is answered.
If my office can ever be of assistance with ICE or any federal agency, you can always speak to a member of my team at (410) 832-8890.
My team and I continue to follow up on the pressing concerns I’ve heard from you, including: access to an attorney, access to medication and menstrual products, health and safety concerns, detaining people with no criminal records, and so much more.
As your member of Congress, I am committed to conducting oversight of federal agencies on your behalf. I’ve toured and met with officers at the Baltimore ICE Facility three times.
This reopening was years in the making & a collaborative Team Maryland effort to fund the needed renovations without displacing residents. As I said at the celebration: Congress is hard, but renovating a building from the 1960s with seniors still in place is harder. Congratulations & welcome home!
As housing remains the highest cost for Maryland families, I’ve worked for the last 7 years with the Housing Authority of the City of Annapolis to find real solutions & was thrilled to join state & local leaders for the ribbon cutting of the renovated Morris H. Blum Senior Apartments in Annapolis!
Seniors deserve to age in place with dignified, quality, affordable housing in the communities they’ve worked and lived their entire lives.
As our country faces an affordability crisis, families are making impossible choices to afford health care, child care, and senior care. Congress must act to support our caregivers – and in turn American families – to ensure care jobs are good jobs with fair pay, benefits, and dignity.
April is Care Workers Recognition Month, a time to honor the tireless efforts and unwavering commitment of the care workers who support our loved ones, often during our families’ most difficult moments.
Let me be clear that I do not make this statement – particularly calling for the Vice President and Cabinet to act – lightly. But the American people deserve accountability and a rational leader.
Vice President Vance and Republican leadership must also understand the gravity of this moment and begin the process of invoking the 25th Amendment.
Republican leadership must call Congress back to Washington. We have an obligation to the American people to reassert our Constitutional authority using every means necessary, including voting as I have before to cease military action in Iran.
The American people do not want this war; they do not want war crimes carried out in their name; and they do not want this erratic and irresponsible behavior from their Commander in Chief.
It is clear that the President is no longer in possession of himself. This morning’s threats to destroy “a whole civilization” were an extreme escalation in a war with no end in sight.
The best days on the job are the days we can help our neighbors in need. If we can ever be of assistance to you, please reach out to (410) 832-8890 or check out the link below for more information on casework assistance from our team.

Another success story from #TeamElfreth! JiaJia from Elliott City ran into issues with her immigration case, and our team was able to step in to get her the response she needed to make real progress on her case.
Mark your calendars: We’re back with another telephone town hall on Tuesday, April 21st, at 6:30 PM. Sign up at the link below to receive a phone call and join the conversation! ☎️

I firmly condemn this undefined and unsustainable war. Republicans must join us to pass a War Powers Resolution to place a check on this President and reassert our Congressional authority.
