Thank you, Lafayette Parish for giving me so much to take back to Washington. Communities like this are what make Louisiana’s 6th District Strong. Keep showing up and remain engaged! #6thdistrictlisteningtour #LA06
Yesterday, I visited St. Landry Parish businesses, healthcare centers, and held a successful town hall with residents. I heard you all loud and clear, and I will keep fighting in Washington to deliver the resources and opportunities St. Landry deserves.

Today was a reminder that good policy starts with listening and good conversations. Thank you to the CENLA Chamber of Commerce, CENLA Broadcasting, and the great people of Central Louisiana for your engagement and insight on what matters. #6thdistrictlisteningtour #LA06
The Senate’s vote to gut LPB funding is a direct hit to Louisiana communities. As this dangerous budget cut returns to the House, I am standing up for teachers, parents, seniors, and rural families who rely on public broadcasting every day.
I’m back in DC with my boots on the ground to vote NO on the President’s “Big Ugly Bill.” Louisiana, I hear your concerns and I’m here to represent you as I vote no on this bill!
I just flew back into Washington to vote NO on this “Big Ugly Bill” when it gets to the House floor.
The Senate just passed the “Big Ugly Bill” that will take away healthcare benefits for over 11.8 million hard-working Americans and increase the deficit by $3.3 trillion just to give tax breaks to the wealthy.
What a joy it was to join our seniors for Senior Skip Day with the EBR Council on Aging. Behind every laugh and dance move was a reminder of why this work matters. I’ll always stand up for the policies that put our seniors first.
Unfortunately the Supreme Court did not issue a final ruling and will rehear the case during their next term. I look forward to continuing to serve the people of Louisiana’s 6th congressional district.
The seat I currently hold was created by the Louisiana legislature last January. Today we were expecting the Supreme Court to rule on whether the current map will be in place for the remainder of this decade.
As we celebrate Juneteenth, we reflect on the perseverance of those who came before us and recommit ourselves to a future rooted in hope, unity, and justice. We show that commitment not just in our words, but in our actions every single day. #Juneteenth
Our town hall in West Baton Rouge was a tremendous success. I’m grateful for everyone who showed up, spoke up, and shared their passion, especially about the future of our children’s education.
Stay engaged, stay vocal, and let’s keep working together to build the Louisiana our children deserve.
It was an honor to stand with Build BR, BREC, Councilwoman Carolyn Coleman, Republic Services, and community members today for the ribbon cutting of Erie Street EcoPark. This new green space is a testament to what can be accomplished when we work together to invest in families and our neighborhoods.
As a father of two sons, I know firsthand the joy, responsibility, and love that comes with raising a family. Today, I join you in celebrating the fathers, grandfathers, uncles, and father figures who pour into their families and communities every single day.
DeSoto, Rapides, and West Baton Rouge, I hope to see you all there! #LA06 #JuneTownHallSeries
Today, I had the pleasure of welcoming Kearra Grisby, the winner of my district’s Congressional Art Competition, to the Capitol. Her art piece entitled “Crown” will be on display in the tunnels of the US Capitol for a year!
People who fail to learn from history will end up repeating it. I hope you learn something from these two videos and the powerful example of these two great leaders.
Job Corps serves the young people in every state and community, no matter Republican or Democrat, who want to make an honest living with the resources they have.
We must stand with our students.
Thank you to The Advocate for allowing me to write about the importance of protecting Medicaid. I encourage everyone to check out the full article at their website.
I hear your concerns and I’ll never stop fighting for you!
