RFK Jr. just fired every single expert from the CDC's vaccine advisory committee so he can replace them with his anti-science, anti-vax cronies. This is a gut punch to public health.
Under this administration, more Americans will die from preventable diseases.

Last month, the Trump Administration abruptly canceled a $5.6 million student mental health grant for Crystal Lake District 47—funding that passed with bipartisan support in Congress.
I took to the House floor to stand up for the students of Crystal Lake and to call out Republicans' hypocrisy.
Eid Mubarak to our Muslim neighbors in #IL11 and across the world!
I wish everyone celebrating a peaceful time of reflection and togetherness.
Today, I'm wearing orange for National Gun Violence Awareness Day.
While we honor the lives lost to senseless gun violence, it's past time for Congress to enact commonsense gun laws to make our communities safer.
As we all watch Trump and Elon fall out in real time, don't forget the damage that has already been done. DOGE raided the sensitive information of millions of Americans.
My Republican colleagues should join me in calling for transparency from Trump about what Elon was up to.
Recently, my staff and I have heard from many constituents concerned about law abiding immigrants getting caught up in Trump's chaotic immigration policies and intimidation tactics.
It’s important to know your rights:
Head Start provides high-quality early childhood education for hundreds of thousands of children across the country.
Abruptly closing Head Start offices will take vital support away from children who need it most. I joined my colleagues to demand answers from RFK Jr. about this reckless decision.

The non-partisan Congressional Budget Office just ran the numbers on Republicans' budget. Here's what it said.
Happy Pride Month! Let's recognize the brave LGBTQ+ individuals who began Pride as a protest for their rights.
As we celebrate the progress the LGBTQ+ community has made, let us not lose sight of the work that still has to be done!
My thoughts are with the victims and their families following yesterday’s horrific antisemitic attack in Boulder, Colorado.
This cannot become the new normal. We must continue to stand united against antisemitism and hate in all its forms.
As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, let's recommit to breaking the stigma surrounding mental health and expanding access to resources.
Remember, you are not alone. Call 988 for the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or message them at 988lifeline.org.
Vaccines are essential to safeguarding public health.
RFK Jr.’s latest moves, from changing COVID vaccine guidance to cutting funding for bird flu vaccine development, put American lives at risk.
Our health agencies should be guided by evidence, not conspiracy theories or political agendas.
Trump’s meme coin dinner was corruption on full display, allowing top buyers to purchase special access to the presidency through his cryptocurrency.
My colleagues and I introduced legislation to prevent the President and Members of Congress from engaging in this level of corruption ever again.
This Memorial Day, let us honor the bravery of our fallen heroes and the lives they lived. They made the ultimate sacrifice in service of our country and our freedom. For that, we are forever grateful.
Happy Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander Heritage Month to our AANHPI community in IL-11 and across the country!
NEWS: A federal judge halted the Trump Administration from dismantling the Department of Education and ordered the rehiring of staff.
I joined 192 House Democrats in supporting this lawsuit to stop Trump's illegal Executive Order and protect our nation's students.
This is progress.
In 2010, I spent 3 days reading the ACA before voting for it, knowing it would cost me my reelection (pictured). I did it to provide health care to millions of Americans with preexisting conditions. Rs gave us just 2.5 hours to read their Big Ugly Bill that strips health care from millions.
Early this morning, I voted NO on Republicans’ disastrous reconciliation bill, and watched in disgust as Republicans cheered for ripping health care from 13.7 million Americans and taking food from families, children, and seniors—all to hand out more tax breaks to their billionaire donors.
I'm horrified by the murder of two Israeli Embassy staff members last night. Hate-filled, anti-Semitic acts of violence have no place in our country.
My thoughts are with the friends and families of the victims, and the entire Jewish community.
