It's been 100 days of nonstop chaos from the Trump Administration. From reckless economic policies that are driving up costs to attacks on Social Security, Americans are fed up.
No wonder his 100-day approval rating is the lowest in 80 years.

A stable economy depends on financial regulators who are free from political interference.

Republicans have outlined a budget that slashes Medicaid, putting health coverage for one in four IL residents at risk. These cuts would jeopardize critical funding for rural hospitals, community health centers, nursing homes, and mental health services—vital resources for millions across IL.
Dick Durbin is one of my heroes—right up there with Paul Douglas and Paul Simon. If any of us could accomplish one tenth of what Dick has done for the people of Illinois, we could step off the stage with pride.

Happy Easter to all who are celebrating today!
Proud to stand with my colleagues in demanding the Trump Admin comply with the Supreme Court and bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia home. Their refusal to correct this unlawful deportation is morally indefensible and an overstep of their authority. They must act now and make sure this never happens again.

Representatives of each academy will be on hand to answer questions about the application process.

Tax Day is here. This filing season, you might notice that your refund’s taking longer or that it’s harder to get help from the IRS. You can thank Trump and DOGE.
So much for "efficiency."
I was proud to vote against the SAVE Act. Here’s my statement on Republicans’ latest attack on voting rights:
Republicans are pushing a reckless budget plan that would gut essential programs that millions of Americans count on—just to hand out even more tax breaks to billionaires. These cuts would have real consequences for families in IL-11.
I'm voting NO.
It was great to visit the Aurora African American Health Coalition Fair this past weekend. We're lucky to have this great resource right here in our community!
