This week, my colleagues and I introduced two bills to ensure that health care providers can access the full spectrum of education for women's healthcare, even if the states they live and learn in have banned it. (3/3)
Since that day, I have worked with the @ReproCaucus to build on our prior work to ensure reproductive freedom and to introduce bills to help mitigate the harms these abortion laws have created and make competent, compassionate, reproductive care accessible for people in all 50 states. (2/3)
Four years ago, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, the law of the land since 1973, and allowed states like Texas to enforce laws that criminalize seeking, providing, and even learning about abortion. (1/3)

I signed @repfletcher.bsky.social’s discharge petition to force a vote on the Right to Contraception Act, which would force GOP leadership to bring this bill to the floor immediately for a vote.
We must guarantee that women's right to contraception will never be stripped away. (2/2)

Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress have overseen an unprecedented rollback of women's reproductive rights. They overturned Roe, undermined IVF and now have contraception in their crosshairs. (1/2)

NHC has initiated advisories on Potential Tropical Cyclone One (formerly AL90) located over southern Texas. Potential Tropical Cyclone Advisories (PTC Advisories) are issued when there is high confidence that the disturbance will develop into a storm and bring significant impacts.

I signed a discharge petition on the Right to Contraception Act because women have a right to the full range of reproductive health care.
I will never stop fighting to restore and protect access to reproductive health care and ensure all individuals can make their own private health care decisions.

Access to contraception should be a decision made by women and their doctors — not the government.
That’s why I signed @repfletcher.bsky.social's discharge petition to force a House vote on the Right to Contraception Act to protect access to birth control.
A must-read. This is not what the Situation Room is supposed to be used for. Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein and the American people deserve better.

On Women Veterans Recognition Day, and every day, we honor the 2 million women who have proudly and courageously served our nation. As the fastest-growing group of veterans, we must protect their access to care and ensure VA remains a welcoming place for all women veterans.
Congress appropriates money—not the president. Congressional Republicans are enabling President Trump to abuse our system, imposing political loyalty tests and effectively establishing his own appropriations system while much of the grant funding goes unused.
Now 𝙩𝙝𝙖𝙩'𝙨 waste, fraud, and abuse.
Today, I joined my colleagues on the House steps to mark Gun Violence Awareness Month, wearing orange to demonstrate our commitment to people in #TX07 and across the country who have experienced gun violence. We must work together to #EndGunViolence.

NEW: I just signed a discharge petition to fast track a vote on the Right to Contraception Act.
8 in 10 Americans—of both parties—support protecting access to birth control. But a few extremist lawmakers could threaten this critical health care.
I'm taking action.

I signed the discharge petition to force a vote on the Right to Contraception Act. Eight in ten Americans support the Right to Contraception Act, which ensures the right for Americans to access contraception and protects the right of health care providers to provide contraceptives.

The long fight for women's equal rights led to the enactment of the Equal Pay Act #OTD in 1963.
Despite this important law, women today earn only 81¢ on the dollar compared to men. I'm committed to ensuring that women receive equal pay for equal work, and I'll keep fighting to close the wage gap.
We don't have all the answers from the administration yet, but we do know must continue to speak out against these terrible plans.
While Texans—as well as Americans across the country invested in our public lands—have fought to protect the precious ecosystem at Big Bend National Park, the Trump admin has waived its environmental responsibility so that it can proceed with its potentially destructive border wall projects.
