Five years ago, we lost Congressman John Lewis — a leader in the fight for justice and a true public servant. It was an honor to serve alongside him and learn from his principled, courageous leadership. Let’s honor his legacy and sacrifice by getting into some “good trouble” today and everyday.
Last night, Senate Republicans voted to defund public broadcasting — gutting stations like NPR and PBS that provide educational programming, emergency alerts, and trusted news to millions. It’s Trump’s latest attempt to silence the truth, all to fund his billionaire handouts.
As prices climb, Republicans are making it harder for Americans to get by. They’re gutting health care, slashing food aid, and siding with billionaires over working families. That’s why the Dads Caucus met w/ frm White House economic advisor to discuss how we make life more affordable for everyone.
Outrageous. Republicans are gutting PBS and NPR because Trump hates the truth. Millions rely on public broadcasting for free, local, even lifesaving news. I’ll vote NO against any cuts — and hold the line against censorship. www.npr.org/2025/07/16/n...
Millions of American's got a political email from Social Security claiming Trump’s Big Billionaire Bill ends taxes on Social Security — it doesn’t. I demanded SSA correct the record before they destroy the public’s trust in this vital program. democrats-waysandmeans.house.gov/media-center...
Almost every House Republican just voted to stop Donald Trump from releasing the Epstein files. What are they hiding, and who are they trying to protect? Trump's base wants to know. Release the files.
Families deserves quality childcare and the support they need to thrive, not just survive. S/o to Chamber of Mothers for being a powerful partner in this work. Trump’s Big Billionaire Bill will have a devastating impact on working families. It’s going to take all of us to organize and fight back.
Despite my constitutional and legal authority to conduct oversight, I’ve been blocked multiple times from inspecting L.A.’s detention centers. These reports are horrifying. I won’t stop until we know what’s really happening behind closed doors. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
Thanks to Trump’s Big Billionaire Law, 300+ rural hospitals are at risk of shutting down — forcing many more to make the impossible choice of who gets care and who gets turned away. While the rich get richer, vulnerable families are left behind. www.nbcnews.com/health/healt...
Trump’s DOE is refusing to release billions in funding for America’s public schools — including $87M in my district alone. Every child deserves a quality education that sets them up for success. This administration is setting them up to fail. www.newamerica.org/education-po...
As an Angeleno, I know this: when we stand together, we're unstoppable, and we sure as hell won’t be silent. This decision is another step forward in holding Trump accountable for his actions and protecting the rights of everyone. www.latimes.com/california/s...
The CDC reported the worst measles outbreak in 30 years. In CA, we’ve seen more cases in the past 6 months than in all of 2024. As this disease spreads, so does RFK Jr.’s vaccine misinformation. This isn’t making America healthy again — it’s putting kids at risk. www.ocregister.com/2025/07/10/m...
How many MS-13 gang members are waking up at 3 a.m. to pick strawberries? O’yeah, zero! Trump said he’d go after “bad hombres,” but he’s targeting the immigrant farm workers who feed America. Either he lied — or he can’t tell the difference.
Trump slapping tariffs on Brazil isn't about standing up for American jobs, it's about standing up for another wannabe dictator. Good thing Trump always chickens out 🌮
