Andry Romero, a young gay man, was given an asylum appointment by the U.S. Government. When he showed up to the appointment we kidnapped him and sent him to a foreign prison.
I asked Secretary Noem to check if he’s alive. Her response was shameful.
I’m looking forward to questioning Secretary Noem today in our committee. 🤗
Congrats to our Long Beach State Men’s Volleball NCAA National Champions! LFG and Go Beach!
An American President is going to turn a foreign luxury plane from Qatar into Air Force One. And then he’s going to keep the $400 million gift after he leaves office. It’s a disgrace to our country and a potential national security risk. Our Oversight Committee must investigate.
A strong immigrant woman who sacrificed everything so that her sons could find the American Dream. She lives on in our actions and our contributions to making life better for people who are struggling and need support. Love you forever, mom.
Trump cannot accept a $400 million plane from a foreign government. It’s illegal under the Constitution. And Jared Kushner should have never received $2 billion from Saudi Arabia months after leaving the White House.
The Oversight Committee must agressively investigate now.
If ICE wants to arrest our New Jersey colleagues, they are going to have to get through all of us first.
Trump’s Tariffs are causing major harm to our local economy, our ports, and will raise prices on goods for the American people.
As a Peruvian-American Catholic who loves deep dish pizza, this is a good day.

Something I hope everyone covers this tomorrow notes is that...the President has no authority whatsoever to make trade deals without congress. None. Not even the pretext of one.
Had to call out Nancy Mace and her hypocrisy over trans people. I won’t stop fighting for our community.
This weekend, I headed to Republican Ken Calvert’s District, because he refuses to host town halls or answer questions from his constituents.
People are fired up against cuts to Medicaid and Social Security and we won’t stop fighting.
Imagine getting an asylum appointment from the U.S. government, showing up for your scheduled appointment, and then getting deported to a foreign prison.
That's what happened to Andry Romero. He deserves due process.
No one should face our complex immigration system alone. I'm proud to support the Fairness to Freedom Act, which would give immigrants facing deportation the right to counsel.
Gerry Connolly is a relentless champion for working families, federal workers, and for ensuring everyone has a fair shot at the American dream.
Gerry has been a leader and mentor to all of us on the Oversight Committee. Our hearts and love go out to Gerry & his family.
The Supreme Court ordered Donald Trump to bring Kilmar Abrego Garcia home in a 9-0 decision. He is defying the Supreme Court. Every American should be concerned and we cannot allow him to strip away due process like this.
A republic, if you can keep it.

We have now arrived at the "arresting judges" level of fascism.

George Santos was sentenced to more than seven years in federal prison on Friday. He has to report by July 25.
Santos covered his face and was sobbing as the sentence was read.
The judge said she didn't believe Santos had shown remorse.
