I didn’t schedule shit, he just imposed the tariffs - and it’s going to cause major issues for working people
Same thing we did to get the federal fund freeze reversed - hit the media, organize local meetings, fire up stakeholder, and gory folks to contact the administration and congress. We need to cause a ruckus.
Donald Trump just imposed tariffs on Mexico and Canada that are going to increase cost of groceries and goods for American families. It’s insane and we are already hearing from port and trade partners about the damage this is causing. Time for folks to push back hard.

YOUR HELP NEEDED:
I'm a @nytimes.com reporter writing about nonprofits.
If your nonprofit has been affected by this week's funding cuts and confusion, I want to hear from you. Tell me more here: www.nytimes.com/2025/01/31/u...
Trump is basically saying that white men can do jobs better than women and people of color. We need to be clear about what he means.

I honestly believe our most powerful position in a toxic time that feeds on cynicism, apathy,& despair is to genuinely care and act for a better world.
Cynicism is our enemy. We should check it, incl. on the left. It’s not intellectually superior. It’s the virus they’re trying to infect us with. NO

Long Beach congressman urges nonprofits, cities to be ready for more disruption in federal funds lbpost.com/news/long-be...
He will. Most important quality for me was who’s going to fight everyday and I think aken will.
Congrats to Ken Martin, our new DNC Chair. Ken is the kind of guy you want in a bar fight, he’s tough, aggressive, a union guy, and grew up in a working class family. It was an honor to endorse and support him. Now let’s go fight these MAGA extremists!
Again, why are we giving these nominees any votes?
They plan to attack immigrants, trans people, destroy our lands, and give tax breaks to billionaires. VOTE NO.
I ordered dinner from one of my favorite Long Beach restaurants tonight. Next time you go out for dinner or lunch, don’t forget that your food is likely being prepared by an immigrant. Stand up for them, because the silence of many people in our community is deafening.
Only a fucking monster would say this as bodies are being recovered.
Ive been sending your podcast with Ezra around to folks - the attention age is here and all of us (myself included) need to adapt to it and understand it better. We all have an enormous amount of work to do as a party, but we will change and we must to win elections.
Our nation grieves the passengers and crew lost in the horrific crash near DCA Airport. We need to ensure that flying remains the safest form of travel.
Let me be clear – we should not be giving the reins to benefits for working-class people over to Marjorie Taylor Greene and the richest man on the planet.

We won this first big budget fight. After massive pushback from nonprofits, and local & federal officials, Trump has backed down and rescinded his freeze on federal aid.
But this isn’t over and he will try again. Let’s continue to fight back against his unconstitutional actions and stay organized.
As far as I’m concerned not one of Trump’s nominees deserves a single yes vote from Democrats. Trump is already grossly violating the constitition, why are we working with him? FIGHT HIM EVERYTIME.
Donald Trump is stealing funds for hungry kids and seniors, while his billionaire friends get richer. This is lunacy.
These ICE raids are shameful, dangerous and must be strongly opposed.
