Wahkiakum PUD has broken ground on an alternate water source for Puget Island!
By bringing home federal funds for this project, we're avoiding a rise in utility rates to get it done.
Glad I could see their amazing work firsthand to ensure folks can access clean, reliable water.

It was inspiring to speak with some incredibly sharp, community-minded service academy nominees and student leaders in FFA and ASB.
Glad I could hear about what matters most to them, including about local education, forestry, and providing pathways to succeed after high school.
Corrections officers are core to upholding our judicial system, yet their work doesn’t always receive the respect it deserves.
I was honored to spend time with folks at Clark County Jail and hear how I can be helpful fighting for resources they need to do their work safely.
My bipartisan No Corruption in Government Act would stop the self-dealing by:
✅ Banning Congressional stock trading
✅ Tripling the ban on lobbying after serving
✅ Halting automatic pay raises for Congress
Serving in Congress is about delivering for your community, not enriching yourself.
Great news! My bipartisan FULL Act was signed into law!
Hardworking taxpayers are footing the bill for empty gov’t offices, so it will help repurpose space and inform whether leases get renewed.
By being good stewards of taxpayer dollars, we can instead invest them where they’re most needed.
If not, families in rural communities like mine will suffer greatly as schools already facing declining enrollment have to make more drastic cuts.
Our kids shouldn't suffer from Congressional inaction on this – so I'm urging my bipartisan colleagues to take this seriously.
In counties impacted by federal lands, it can be difficult to bring in revenue to fund schools and roads.
The SRS program is meant to fill in those gaps, but it needs to be reauthorized by the end of the month for funds to stay on schedule. ⬇️
In the WA delegation, it's tradition for our newest member to inherit this gimlet-eyed monstrosity of a painting.
Rep. Michael Baumgartner will inherit "The Chick" for a year, followed by Rep. Emily Randall.
Excited to work alongside them on a bipartisan basis for folks across our state!
If #RoevWade wasn’t overturned, today would have marked its 52nd anniversary.
For nearly three years, women in much of our nation have faced increased obstacles to accessing safe reproductive care, especially in rural areas.
Congress needs to restore freedoms protected by Roe.
Hear from Rob, a #WA03 hazelnut farmer, about how protecting the right to repair is critical for local ag ⤵️
“He said his newer John Deere tractor has been in the shop five times in three years, while his 1966 tractor has been in the shop twice in 60 years.”
When we're disenfranchised from our stuff and the tools needed for repair, we don't only lose time, money, and crops, but it's also bad for our American ethos that we know how to fix our own sh*t.
It's why I'm fighting to pass right to repair bills – from tractors to vehicles to electronics. ⬇️
Some folks use tractors from the 60s to get the job done, since they only need a toolbox, not proprietary software, to make repairs. Others will actually buy hacking firmware to be able to replace parts themselves. ⬇️
Increasingly, when farmers' newer tractors break down, they have to utilize an authorized dealer rather than fixing their equipment where, how, or when they want.
It can be especially tough when there's a brief window to harvest and service appointments are booked up or not available nearby. ⬇️
🧵 Today's FTC announcement is an important step forward for #WA03 growers. Here's why ⬇️
It'll benefit families, local small businesses, and skilled tradespeople working on this project.

As we build a new I-5 Bridge, we have the opportunity to safely and durably connect downtown with Fort Vancouver and surrounding neighborhoods.
I helped bring home funds for a cover over I-5, so we can create a public space with more ways to walk, bike, and explore our community and its history. ⬇️
It's why I'm introducing legislation with @golden.house.gov to establish a bipartisan Select Committee on Electoral Reform as a first step to addressing these problems.
Our communities are sick and tired of the partisanship and gridlock we see in D.C.
So, while I work to further our local priorities and values, I'm also thinking about structural fixes to make our government work more effectively for you, not just one party. ⬇️
