The Republican budget kicks millions of Americans off their health care just to hand trillions in giveaways to Trump's billionaire donors. While Republicans betray the middle class, Democrats are fighting for American families. @congressmanboyle.bsky.social on today's Democratic Daily Download:
Trump & Musk want to isolate federal employees and agencies to make it more difficult to serve the American people. Their actions are perverse & contrary to the interests of our nation. We must continue to hold the administration accountable & work against their unlawful agenda.
Choosing to ban @apnews.com shows this White House’s disdain for a free press and violates the First Amendment. I am glad to see a Trump-appointed judge restore the Associated Press’ full access to presidential events.
The Associated Press wins reinstatement to White House events after judge rules government can’t bar its journalists, citing the 1st Amendment.

On today’s Democratic Daily Download, @democrats-cha.house.gov Ranking Member Rep. Joe Morelle breaks down how House Republicans' so-called “SAVE” Act is a voter suppression bill that disenfranchises married women, undermines our elections, and weakens our democracy.
I remain deeply concerned by the economic consequences of Trump's tariffs. I joined @repkweisimfume.bsky.social & the MD Congressional Delegation to demand answers on how these tariffs would impact the @portofbalt.bsky.social as well as major ports, industries, & workforces throughout the country.
U.S. Capitol Police ensure the safety & security of Congressional buildings, lawmakers, & the American people. Watch @democrats-appropriations.house.gov and I now as we make sure they have the support they need to continue protecting & serving the Capitol Complex:
Join me and @democrats-appropriations.house.gov as we discuss FY2026 funding for the Architect of the Capitol & Library of Congress' programs & projects to maintain our campuses and ensure they fulfill our legislative and national responsibilities to the nation. Tune in now: youtu.be/ROlOdOkiGhY

Trump promised lower costs and a booming economy on day one. Instead, our economy is actively tanking and the cost of goods are about to get even more expensive. Working families can't afford to pay the price of these Trump Tariffs. More from @frost.house.gov on the Democratic Daily Download.
As Co-Chair of Congressional Fire Services Caucus, I was honored to join the National Fallen Firefighters Flag Ceremony to remember our fallen heroes. I am grateful for firefighters, first responders, & their families for their courage, service, & sacrifice to our nation. They'll never be forgotten.
Amid attacks on Medicaid & vital programs, I was glad to attend the Disability policy Seminar today to discuss advocacy & action to support people with disabilities. I will continue working to build on the #ADA to protect and expand legislation to ensure equality, access, & opportunity for all.
Libraries, museums, and historic sites are hubs for civic activity, digital inclusion, workforce development, childcare and community connection, and much more. Trump and DOGE’s attacks on @nehgov.bsky.social & IMLS are direct attacks on our communities and democracy itself.
General Timothy Haugh has served our country with honor & distinction for decades. Trump fired NSA Director General Hough to demonstrate his belief that the safety of Americans should belong in the hands of those who are loyal to him and him alone.
Across the country today, Americans are grappling with the reality of higher costs, financial insecurity, and job uncertainty as a direct result of President Trump’s tax increase.
Faced with financial market panic, his administration is fanning out to describe the impact of his tariffs as ‘short term pain,’ as if that pain were not both serious & literal for everyday Americans.
What he did was stand in the Rose Garden and proudly announce the largest tax increase on middle-class Americans in our nation’s history – one that will cost the average American family thousands of dollars each year.
For years we’ve been told to take Donald Trump seriously, but not literally. We were told his incoherent economic philosophy & outrageous rhetoric were merely negotiating tactics for a master in the art of the deal. What he did yesterday ought to throw any such nuanced interpretation aside.
I have long advocated for the important role that early childhood education plays in our children’s futures. Trump, Musk, and RFK threaten our collective future by dismantling Head Start regional offices. We must keep working to protect these services for American families from these attacks.
