We have a housing crisis in our country. THAT is the real national emergency.
But Trump clearly cares more about interfering in our elections than about ensuring Americans have a safe place to call home.
222 troops are now sick because this regime continues to choose culture wars, prioritizing ideology over science and facts that have kept our forces safe for decades.
How does allowing our servicemembers to get each other sick make our country any safer?
Oh wait... it doesn't.
$14 million of your taxpayer dollars down the drain.
Literally.
There is a reason flu vaccine requirements were established for servicemembers: to protect our troops.
But apparently, Hegseth doesn't care about our troop's health or military readiness.
If he did, he wouldn’t have gutted a science-backed vaccine requirement based on ideology.
I warned that reversing flu vaccine requirements would put our troops at risk LAST MONTH.
But Pete Hegseth prioritized ideology over fact, and now an Air Force training base has a major flu outbreak impacting over 160 troops.
This regime's incompetence is sickening...literally.
$600 MILLION for a vanity ballroom.
$29+ BILLION for an illegal war.
$300 BILLION for Iran.
Even $14 MILLION for an algae-infested pool.
But not a single penny for the 770,000 hungry kids in our country.
Housing costs need to be cheaper. Rent prices need to come down.
From discussing how to combat rising housing costs under this regime, to expanding affordable housing initiatives, it was great to meet with Hawaii REALTORS during their yearly visit to Capitol Hill!
Republicans are hoping the American people don't know the difference between showing a photo ID and proving their citizenship.
But if the SAVE Trump Act passes, that difference could mean MILLIONS of eligible voters are disenfranchised from voting in our upcoming elections.
Don't forget, Republicans SLASHED health care funding to afford tax breaks for the wealthiest people in our country.
So while Americans go into debt to afford the life-saving care they need, Trump and his billionaire buddies are getting richer every day.
Trump says he "loves" inflation.
We can tell.
Since he took office, people in Hawaii are paying $872 MORE for housing, $310 MORE for groceries, and $263 MORE for gas.
$4,100 MORE because Trump prioritizes anything but lowering costs for Americans.
10 years of amazing food, crowds, and energy at Taste of Hawaii, and this year was no different!
Mahalo to everyone who could join in the fun and to everyone from Hawaii for bringing the aloha spirit (and lots of One-Ton chips!) to D.C.!
On Kamameha Day, we honor King Kamameha's life and legacy.
This Sunday, we came together to celebrate King Kamehameha's leadership and his unification of the Hawaiian islands with a beautiful lei draping ceremony here at the U.S. Capitol!
Do you want your taxpayer dollars going to detaining hundreds of babies and toddlers?
I know I sure don't.
But Republicans just voted to hand ICE $70,000,000,000 to continue doing just that.
A completely evil abuse of taxpayer dollars and power.
www.ms.now/news/trump-i...
I drove by the Dept. of Labor this morning and had to laugh.
Trump put his face on a sign that says "American workers first."
American workers first? Tell that to the hundreds of thousands of workers fired because of DOGE.
Judges have found ICE's detention practices to be illegal in over 10,000 cases.
10,000 times.
And it hasn't even been 2 years of this regime.
10,000 examples that show just how illegal, cruel, and inhuman this regime's anti-immigrant agenda truly is.
Whatever information Pete Hegseth is trying to hide, reporters can probably find out if they wait long enough to accidentally be added to one of this regime’s Signal chats.
Donald Trump is letting criminals run free just because they support his illegal actions.
This isn't the party of Law and Order, this is the party of Chaos and Corruption.
www.lawfaremedia.org/article/the-...
Like everything this regime says, ICE's claim to be targeting "the worst of the worst" is a lie.
This regime is intent on attacking ALL immigrants.
From undermining birthright citizenship to pushing “denaturalization”, this regime is wreaking havoc on our immigration system.
Within the last year, Republicans reduced Medicaid funding by nearly $1 TRILLION, nutritional assistance grants by almost $190 BILLION, and diverted $500 BILLION from public schools.
Over $1,700,000,000,000 in cuts.
And apparently, for Republicans, that $1.7 trillion isn't enough.
