Congressional Republicans refused to extend the Affordable Care Act's health insurance tax cuts, and now NH enrollment has already dropped nearly 8%. I met with doctors and health leaders to discuss how this is hurting Granite Staters and the need to lower health care costs.
We've made important progress to combat addiction and bring down overdoses, but we can't let up in the fight now. I was grateful to meet with leaders of organizations that help Granite Staters get into and stay in recovery and talk about what more we need to do.
As his illegal war rages on, gas prices surge, and millions of Americans go without health care, the President is spending his time trying to prove crackpot conspiracy theories, build expensive vanity projects, and make it harder for Americans to vote.
Granite Staters do not want our nation to be indefinitely entangled in Trump’s war with Iran. That’s why today, I voted against beginning debate on a National Defense Authorization Act that would have done nothing to curb President Trump’s ability to wage this illegal war.
What’s more, it's clear that the President does not have any real plan to get us out of this war any time soon – instead, he has veered wildly between strategies, touting potential peace deals one day and issuing unhinged threats the next.
Almost five months ago, Donald Trump bypassed Congress to launch his illegal, reckless, and poorly thought-out war with Iran. American service members have died, American consumers and businesses have seen gas prices skyrocket, and yet Americans are less safe than they were before the war began.
We need more creative solutions like this in order to tackle New Hampshire's housing crisis. That's why I supported the bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing bill, which will cut red tape for builders and help turn more good ideas into homes that hardworking families can afford.
The Roosevelt East Apartments in Keene turn an old school building into safe, affordable homes for Granite Staters. I’m grateful to everyone who worked together to make today's opening a reality.
The bipartisan 21st Century ROAD to Housing bill that I helped push will help us build new homes that families can afford across New Hampshire. President Trump’s refusal to sign it shows that he doesn’t care about your housing costs.
Lowering housing costs requires building more housing. Today I joined a ribbon cutting for the Village at Technology Hill, new middle-class housing in Londonderry that will help more families stay in New Hampshire.
Happy Independence Day! For 250 years, Americans have worked to build a more perfect union. Here in New Hampshire, that legacy lives on in the people who step up, serve their communities, and look out for one another.
President Trump's so-called One Big Beautiful Bill and tariffs have cost middle class families hundreds while America's wealthiest get massive tax breaks. This report shows how Trump’s tax and tariff policies hurt teachers, fire fighters, health care aides, and many more.
