The Trump admin is trying to dismantle the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the agency that protects working people when big banks cheat them on mortgages, credit cards and more. This is an attack on all workers and their financial security. https://politi.co/3LCAFwy
Thank you to everyone who has stepped up to serve our country in uniform. From care at the VA to the GI Bill — we must protect the benefits our veterans earned & keep the promise we made to them & their families. You stood up for us & now it's our turn to stand up for you. Happy Veterans Day.
The American people cannot pay their premiums with promises. The Republicans have had TEN MONTHS to extend the insurance tax credits that tens of millions rely on. They’ve done nothing. Why would this time be any different? It’s either in the bill or it isn’t getting my vote.
BREAKING: Senators reach a tentative deal to end the government shutdown which, if passed, will take days to reach Trump’s desk to become law.
I didn't know 'America First' meant sending our kids to die for oil in another foreign war.    President Trump's strikes in the Caribbean & his impending war in Venezuela are illegal without a vote by Congress. We the People deserve a say in if our kids get sent to die in a repeat of the Iraq War.
Despite a court order, the Trump admin is dragging its feet on paying people the SNAP benefits they need.    Meanwhile they're buying Kristi Noem 2 new jets, bailing out Argentina, & building a ballroom.    They have the money. They just don't want working people to have dignity.
President Trump is refusing to use available funds to backfill the SNAP program & keep assistance going to millions of hungry children, seniors, & single parents. President Trump is using our most vulnerable neighbors as collateral. It's sick & it must end.
Doing the same thing over & over while expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. Republicans have been in charge for 10 months, & they've done nothing to address the rising costs of health care. At this point their words & empty promises mean nothing to me, I need to see action.
I was heartened to see such a strong turnout standing with our AAPI community at last week’s public safety forum. I stand with our AAPI community & am grateful that local leadership is taking this issue seriously & working with the community to stop these coordinated and racist attacks.
This shutdown is now days away from becoming the longest in history. With the continuing chaos in D.C. & worsening impacts locally, I will host another telephone town hall ON WEDNESDAY to hear from you, answer your questions, & share more about my work in D.C. & here at home. Fill out ⬇️ to join!

Today, my colleague @replamonica.bsky.social is in court on trumped up charges that she acted improperly while exercising her constitutional & statutory duty to provide oversight at ICE facilities. If this administration thinks they will scare & silence us, they're wrong. I stand with Rep. McIver.
