Unsolicited advice: I did a very modified version of this for my first book, for '60-'68. About 500-600 movies total. For what it's worth I feel I learned much more than I anticipated from sticking to chronological order, as you're doing, but somewhat less than I anticipated from the sheer quantity.
In the play Are The Bennet Girls Okay?, which played in NYC last season and is coming back this winter, one actor played Darcy, Bingley, Wickham, and Collins, and it was brilliant.

There's not a word of context about how, for instance, crime during the first 6 months of Mamdani's term is at an all-time low. This piece has a purpose; it is to bar Mamdani from calling Netanyahu a war criminal on the grounds that it encourages random crime. It is indefensible nonsense.
Mamdani criticizes Netanyahu. Later, a crazy man stabs a Jewish man and an Asian man. And we get an article suggesting that while one stabbing (dismissed in six words) is just a shrug, the other implicates the mayor. Disgraceful framing. Shame on everyone involved. www.nytimes.com/2026/07/24/n...
Now watching the first episode of The Five-Star Weekend and...this has never happened to me before with any piece of popular entertainment, but...I'm too male for this.
When it launched, PR was so refreshing--it was a cheerful showcase for people with largely pleasant demeanors and, often, genuine talent. The current iteration either does not grasp what the show used to be, or has contempt for it. It's all "personality," made-for-TV narcissism, and faux conflict.
This is not exactly my Bluesky "brand," but I have seen every episode of Project Runway and I even recapped a season in ancient times, and I have never seen a reality series so thoroughly and vigorously destroy itself. The current season is a packed festival of bad producing decisions.
It's really important that we not judge this man until he's convicted in a court of law. If you quote this post, please say "ALLEGED cannibal."
