I read the Nuzzi excerpt in Vanity Fair, and there is something maddening about her choice to refer to RFK Jr. not by name but with mock coyness as "the Politician." It suggests that the chance to actualize some Carrie Bradshaw-meets-Big fantasy fueled all of this. Anyway, I don't need to know more.

lol this actor on Bridgerton thinks that not eating between breakfast and lunch is "intermittent fasting." I've tried that diet too! So far no results but it's only been a few years.
I know a lot of people who aren't writers use it for writing. I think those are people for whom needing something to be written is a means to an end, and I understand that. But for me, it's the means and the end. It's my one skill. I try to improve at it every day. I cannot imagine surrendering it.
When I started work on my latest book, I joked that in the afterword I would write, "This book was written without the use of AI." Now I'm thinking I really should do it. Not that people will necessarily believe writers when we authenticate work as our own, but it's at least worth a try.

Still thinking about what an eviscerating insult "This book reads as if it were punched into a phone while the author was hiking" would be if it appeared in a review.

This is so moving, etc. Also, she is an opportunistic monster without a single internal value she wouldn't happily trade away for the smallest professional gain, so let's all enjoy this particular clown show while remembering that it is worth less than nothing.

I think they're having a pretty good year! They've always gone for singles rather than home runs, but I'm Still Here and Becoming Led Zeppelin both did well, and Nuremberg is actually doing better than I thought it would.

While I'm ranting: It takes time, nurturing, strategy, and deep knowledge of release patterns and regional idiosyncrasies to nurture a film from, say, October deep into awards season. That's how smaller movies used to make money. And I'm not seeing a lot of distributors eager to put in that effort.
