The only outrage, Speaker Johnson, is that you’re denying @adelitaforcongress.bsky.social her seat because you’re scared the Epstein petition could reach 218 votes.
Now, he’s already paying it forward by volunteering to help others. That’s the power of community and compassion in action. Thank you to GEICO, Enterprise Mobility, and Caliber Collision for making it possible.
It was an honor to join GEICO, the National Auto Body Council, and Friendship Place to help a local veteran get back on the road. Joseph Butler of Laurel received a refurbished “Recycled Ride” that will help him get to work and access his medication.
The Trump administration’s war on science is unprecedented and it’s hurting our future. RFK Jr. and his allies are firing experts, silencing researchers, and undermining public trust. We should be investing in scientists, not pushing them out.

Thirty years after the Million Man March, the fight for dignity and justice continues. As the No Kings movement filled the Mall this weekend — on the very day we marked that historic march — one truth echoed through time: power belongs to the people, not to any one man. #MillionManMarch #NoKings
What’s happening to the rule of law today is deeply troubling. Erez Reuveni showed real courage in sharing his story & reminding us what taking an oath truly means. The lies against Kilmar Abrego Garcia were unacceptable. Drawing attention to these attacks on the rule of law is right and necessary.
This weekend, I stood with hundreds of Marylanders who made it clear: in this country, we have no kings. Across the nation, the ’No Kings’ movement reminded us that our democracy belongs to the people, not to unchecked power. I was proud to join families, community leaders and activists.
Yesterday, Maryland’s Fourth District made its voice loud and clear: no one is above the law. We stand for democracy—not kings. #NoKings #MD04
I joined Stand Up for Science to defend the future of research that saves lives and drives innovation. We need leaders who respect science, not undermine it. RFK Jr. has no place in a position where he continues to discredit real science and erode public trust.

The American people continue to see that Republicans are not fighting for their healthcare. Millions of Americans might loose their healthcare entirely but the likes of Speaker Johnson and the Republicans keep ducking and not doing their job. It's time to come to DC and negotiate.
We lost a legend. Susan Stamberg, NPR’s first female host of a national nightly news program, changed journalism forever.
Her warmth, wit, and trailblazing spirit shaped generations of storytellers. Rest in peace to one of NPR’s “founding mothers.”🕊️

Good news: it looks like some Virginian’s push to add toll lanes is dead—at least for now.
We worked with Prince George’s County elected and community leaders and our unity made a difference. But we have to remain vigilant.

President Trump needs to focus on the job at hand: reopening the government, negotiating with Democrats, and fixing the healthcare mess that the House and Senate Republicans created with the trillion dollars of cuts, and extending the ACA tax credits.
Yesterday, a federal judge blocked Trump’s mass layoffs during the shutdown, a major win for federal workers. These weren’t just “cuts” — they were an attack on public servants.
I’ll keep fighting to protect jobs and hold this administration accountable.

Millions of Americans are about to see their health care premiums double because Republicans are letting vital tax credits expire. It’s part of a pattern — making it harder for working families to afford the basics. I’m fighting to stop these cuts and make care affordable.
As #HispanicHeritageMonth comes to a close, we carry forward the stories, strength, and vibrant contributions of the Hispanic community all year long.
At today’s @cbc.house.gov press conference, I joined my colleagues to speak out on Louisiana v. Callais. This Supreme Court case could strip Black communities of fair representation and weaken the Voting Rights Act. We’re not backing down. The right to vote — and to be represented — is on the line.
