Earlier today, I joined MSNBC’s host Chris Jansing to discuss the concerns of the American people. Frankly, it’s Congresses moment to stand up and do our part. Enough is enough. 🛑
I am voting NO on this disastrous short term government funding bill.

As a Vice-Chair for the @laborcaucus.bsky.social, I am excited to announce that we have just reached our highest ever membership number. I am grateful to the caucus’s leadership @debbiedingell.house.gov, Rep. Horsford, Rep. Donald Norcross, and @markpocan.bsky.social for leading us into battle.
Today marks a sad day in American history— the beginning of the dismantling of the Black Lives Matter Plaza. In 2020, D.C. Mayor Muriel Bowser dedicated the plaza to the memory of George Floyd—killed by a police officer in Minneapolis months earlier.

This past Saturday, I hosted a Public Servant Summit to provide resources to hundreds of federal workers in #MD04. Thank you to @democracyforward.org, Michelle Singletary, and everyone who shared your concerns with me. My office hears you and is always available to help.
As a Member of Congress, it is our responsibility to protect our Veterans. There is nothing patriotic about pulling benefits and security from Veterans.
Trump’s tariff wars are a tax on the American consumer. Full stop.

I am proud of the work that @democracyforward.org is doing to fight for our federal workers. Thanks to their legal challenge, over 5,000 federal workers at USDA have their jobs back. We must continue the #bigpushback and we won’t stop until more federal employees are reinstated.
Yesterday, I spoke with Channel 9 about the wrongful terminations that President Trump has overseen and the public health clinical trials that he shutdown. Even though President Trump ran to fix the economy, he isn't doing anything to help everyday people and their families.
I am proud to be a cosponsor of the John R. Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act to ensure the right to vote is protected. We cannot allow extremists to undermine our democracy and silence our voices.
#RestoreTheVote
I recognize the tremendous responsibility that I have to my constituents to advocate on their behalf and cannot in good faith attend President Trump's address to a joint session of Congress this evening. I will instead remain focused on fighting back against the damage done by him and his allies.
Earlier today, I joined the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE)at the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) to speak up about the administration’s dangerous plan to dismantle OPM. Critical programs are at risk if this plan goes through. Our federal workers deserve better.
Today, I continued our fight to turn illegal attacks against federal workers around with NOAA at their headquarters. Speaking up and pushing back lets the administration know that we’re all here.
Firing probationary employees with excellent employment reviews is illegal. OPM broke the law when it ordered government agencies in mid-February to fire all probationary employees. Thank you Judge Alsup for standing up for the American people.

This morning, I joined Fox 5 to discuss the Trump administration forcing federal employees out of their positions. It’s reckless and illegal. This is very serious business not only for federal employees but for people that rely on these services.
ICYMI: I joined Tom Temin on the Federal Drive with FNN Radio to discuss impacts of DOGE cuts on the federal workforce.

Extending the 2017 Trump tax-cuts will increase our national debt by roughly $5 trillion over 10 years. That's what you get in the House Republicans' budget bill.
@housedemocrats.bsky.social and I want essential services for the American people to continue, not big tax breaks for billionaires.
Many families would face even steeper consequences. A 60-year-old couple with a household income of $85,000 in MD-04 would see their health insurance costs increase by $10,437 per year —a 144% increase in premiums. So much for lowering costs for the everyday American.
The new House Republican budget is a direct attack on middle-class Americans. Under the disastrous Republican budget plan, the 28,000 people who receive coverage under the Affordable Care Act in MD-04 would see their average premium go up by $1,930 per year —a 94% increase.
Join Congressman Glenn Ivey and Council Chair Council Member Jolene Ivey for a Federal Resource Fair on March 1, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Register here:🔗: bit.ly/iveyresource....
We look forward to providing resources to the federal workers of Marylands Fourth Congressional District.
