In a matter of months, roughly 2,000 employees were pushed out of the FAA under Co-President Musk and DOGE. Workers were left unsure whether silence meant resignation, all in the name of efficiency. That’s like gutting your fire department during wildfire season and calling it innovation. (1/2)
First Trump’s goons arrested a female judge in Milwaukee. Then Trump’s goons arrested the Mayor of Newark, New Jersey-a Black man. Are they coming for you next? Or might I be next? We all must be ready to resist this wannabe dictator and his goons.
After the mayor of Newark was arrested for protesting outside of a new immigration detention facility, a DHS official is threatening to arrest three members of Congress who were also present. www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
I am saddened to hear of the passing of Retired Supreme Court Justice, David H. Souter. He was an invaluable voice of reason, never one for extreme opinions, and a kind presence in Washington. My heart goes out to his loved ones.
Retired Supreme Court Justice David H. Souter, the ascetic bachelor and New Hampshire Republican who became a darling of liberals during his nearly 20 years on the bench, has died. He was 85. to.pbs.org/4kfOWvl
I share the joy of Catholics worldwide in the ascension of Pope Leo XIV, the first American-born Pope. I wish him well as he begins his papacy, and I hope he continues to build on the legacy of kindness, humility and compassion that Pope Francis exhibited until the very end.
As we kickoff Teacher Appreciation Week, lets remember to celebrate and appreciate our teachers every single day. These unsung heroes help shape our children into future leaders and serve as an example for all of us. To all the teachers across #GA04 and our country, thank you!
On Yom HaShoah, we honor the memories of the six million innocent Jewish people murdered during the Holocaust at the hands of the evil Nazi regime. May their memories be for a blessing and may #NeverAgain be a lasting reality.
Earth Day is about celebrating our planet & recognizing the responsibility we all have to protect it. Our public lands are critical in our fight against the climate crisis. House Dems are fighting back against the Trump administration’s attacks on our more than 840 million acres of public lands.
Proud to join Pastor Jamal Bryant at the ribbon cutting for New Birth's Bullseye Black Market. DEI is not going anywhere, particularly in the market place where corporations value as much dollars as possible. However, if Black people are not eating at the table then we will be on the menu.
I support the judiciary in using its authority to ensure that the Trump Administration complies with court orders. This is what checks and balances look like. This is how our government is supposed to function. No one is above the law.
BREAKING: A judge finds cause to hold Trump administration officials in criminal contempt for ignoring an order on deportation flights. Follow AP for live updates.
During our nation's scariest health crises, the CDC has had our back. We shouldn't have to explain why it's critical to continue funding the CDC and the essential work everyone there does. It's time we have CDC workers' backs.
Hey Elon, Social Security is NOT “the biggest Ponzi scheme of all time." It's a critical lifeline for children, widows, the disabled and retirees. Democrats are fighting fight for the middle-class, the working-class, and the vulnerable. Hands Off my Social Security!
Small business owners in GA04 agree: Trump's tariff turmoil is causing uncertainty and making it impossible for them run their businesses. Meanwhile, Trump is exempting his billionaire buddies from tariffs because that's who he cares about most. Small businesses are hurting and we must support them.
A U.S. president openly talking about kidnapping and deporting U.S. citizens to rot in a foreign prison cannot be normalized or taken lightly. It's a direct threat to our system of due process and democracy. We must fight back against this dangerous rhetoric before it's too late.
Trump to Bukele: "Home-growns are next. The home-growns. You gotta build about five more places. It's not big enough."
So much is happening fast and it’s meant to confuse you. That’s why tomorrow at 2 PM on IG Live, Kelton & Rep. Johnson will discuss the challenges of being the minority party in Congress, why your voice matters beyond the ballot box, and what’s at stake in today’s political climate. Don’t miss it!
