(1) What I feared has finally come true: Trump is defying court orders. His administration is openly disregarding the rule of law. No American is safe if Trump can simply disappear people without due process.

This #BlackMaternalHealthWeek, I'm bringing awareness to the fact that Black women are 3.5 times more likely to die from pregnancy related complications compared to other racial groups. Congress can and needs to eliminate these disparities to ensure that Black mothers and babies can thrive.
Wishing all who celebrate a happy Passover. Chag Sameach!
I am voting NO on the House Republican budget. I will never cut healthcare and food assistance for hardworking Americans to pay for another massive tax giveaway for Trump, Musk and their billionaire buddies.
Biden capped bank overdraft fees at $5. Senate Republicans voted to overturn it, House Republicans will do the same. Republicans never cared about lowering costs and helping hardworking Americans save money. Americans wake up! Republicans are for Inc./Co. not YOU.
Cutting transit investments will slow progress, raise unemployment, and send the dangerous message that some people simply don’t matter. It’s time to stop taking from working class Americans and start giving them the future they deserve.
It is essential to our democracy that the Courts can serve as a check on a President that is trampling people’s rights, which this President is famous for. We cannot allow for justice to be so delayed that it is denied.
While Trump & Musk are focused on indiscriminate cuts & firing FAA employees instead of worker safety, we in Congress passed provisions in the bipartisan FAA Reauthorization Act to ensure our workers and air travel are safe. The administration needs to focus on implementing it, not tearing it down.
The bipartisan FAA Reauthorization Act provides solutions to relieve strain within the aviation industry. However, co-Presidents Musk & Trump are making cuts to pay for their tax breaks––crippling its progress & reducing safety. Americans are concerned about air travel while Musk & Trump are not.
Today, as a senior member of the House Judiciary Committee, I'm participating in a bicameral spotlight hearing entitled, “Restoring Accountability: Exposing Trump’s Attacks on the Rule of Law,” to examine the Trump Administration’s pro-crime and pro-corruption agenda.

Trump is taking a wrecking ball to the DOJ, firing career prosecutors, rewarding allies, and punishing dissent.
Today, Ranking Member Raskin and Senator Schiff will hear from some American patriots at 3:30 PM ET, who are bravely speaking up to expose Trump’s pro-corruption, pro-crime agenda.
This is what democracy looks like! #HANDSOFF #HANDSOFFATL
I'm proud to represent Atlanta and wouldn't have it any other way!
Happy #404Day.
“Liberation Day?” Imposing blanket tariffs out of vengeance against our closest allies and trading partners makes no sense. Trump is not lowering costs as he promised. American consumers will be paying more out of their pockets to cover “Trump’s Tyranny Tariffs.” Shameful and stupid.
Judith worked for 20 years until a disability forced her to stop. Elon Musk, Donald Trump, and MAGA Republicans want to dismantle Social Security—putting Judith & countless other Americans at risk of losing the benefits they worked their entire lives for. I am fighting for Americans like Judith.
The same MAGA extremists who want to dismantle the Department of Education must've forgot what they learned in school about checks & balances. Since we're in a three ring circus right now, let's explain it in a way you may understand:
Today I’m on the Senate side to support my friend @SenBooker in his 22nd hour of holding the Senate Floor. Republicans are hell-bent on giving tax breaks to their billionaire buddies at the expense of the American people. Cory Booker won’t let that happen, & I’m with him.

Reckless cuts to the CDC, NIH, and the FDA...are endangering the lives and well-being of everyone. Everyday Americans will suffer and die from the ignorant actions of these elitists for generations to come.
Thank You! youtu.be/QXKs_wxE7Mc?...
