A one day sentence for Breonna Taylor’s killer is a cold, racist slap to the face of Breonna’s memory, and an affront to Lady Justice herself.
I will forever say her name.

Breonna Taylor should be alive today.
Trump’s Department of Injustice has recommended a one day sentence for Breonna Taylor’s killer. This miscarriage is an ominous signal on the direction that justice is taking under Trump.
Today, the very things Congressman Lewis fought to protect are under assault. I am proud to continue our fight to protect our democracy and expand our constitutional rights.
Five years ago, we lost a giant — my friend and former colleague, John Lewis. He taught us that democracy isn’t a state; it's an act we must engage in every day.
This is a very serious issue that deserves a serious response that the Trump Administration is still refusing to provide.

I asked Secretary Duffy the same question I have been asking all year: How many air traffic controllers have left the FAA since January 20, 2025? Even the Secretary of Transportation/ Interim Administrator of NASA doesn't know.
Corruption starts at the top. The rot starts with the Supreme Court, and we must do everything we can to stop this corruption. We need term limits & we need an enforceable code of conduct for Supreme Court Justices. Our government must work for We the People, not just the wealthy & well-connected.
Trump lied about Project 2025 just like he lied about releasing the Epstein files. It's all to protect himself and his rich buddies.

I shared a story that my friend John Lewis included in "Walking in the Wind: A Memoir of the Movement". John taught me so much, including: The storm always passes, and the sun always comes out. He served We the People, and we must remember what he taught us in order to weather this storm together.
Release the Epstein Files.

Look at this, even Elon Musk’s own AI will tell you: Mike Johnson, Donald Trump,
House Republicans’ BIG UGLY BILL will hurt Americans.

As the Conscience of Congress, the Congressional Black Caucus stands firmly in opposition to the Big Ugly Bill which would disproportionately impact Black communities across the country.
Doing anything I can to stop this BIG UGLY BILL from passing!!
