Courage comes in times of fear. Strength comes in times of crisis.
What I’ve seen in Minnesota and across America is people coming together, showing that courage and strength in their communities, and standing up to ICE and this authoritarian administration.
We will not lose hope.
ICYMI: Republicans’ proposal on congressional stock trading is a massive disappointment.
Our Restore Trust in Congress Act has bipartisan consensus and will actually stop members of Congress from owning and trading stocks once and for all. Let’s pass it. www.commondreams.org/news/insider...
Mubashir and his family came to the United States as refugees from Ethiopia when he was a child, and they all became naturalized citizens in 2019.
Despite being a U.S. citizen, Mubashir was targeted by ICE, assaulted, and detained. Listen to his story:
Good. It's time for Trump's ICE and Border Patrol to stop assaulting peaceful protestors and violating the First Amendment.
Follow the damn law. www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...
Trump’s ICE and Border Patrol are violating Americans’ Constitutional rights — smashing car windows and battering down doors without proper warrants.
Deepinder Mayell of @aclumn.bsky.social explains how they are breaking the law.
After my accountability hearing in MN, we visited Renee Good’s memorial. It was so powerful to bear witness to the strength and resilience of the community in the Twin Cities — even through incredible grief.
We will continue to fight for justice in her memory.
Patty, a U.S. citizen, was detained by ICE for 9 hours. Her friend Brandon, also a citizen, was interrogated by agents as they attempted to bribe him to give them names of undocumented individuals or protest organizers.
This is absolutely outrageous behavior.
“We are ground zero for Trump’s war on America — a war on our democracy, on our freedoms, and our rights as Americans. It is in our backyard today, & it is only a matter of time before it is in yours.”
Listen to @cityofsaintpaul.bsky.social Mayor Kaohly Her talk about what ICE has done to her city.
“Thus far in 2026, we have only had 4 shootings. 2 of them were ICE… It is clear that the practices that ICE is using are unconstitutional. They are not methodical. They are not well-planned out.”
@mayorjacobfrey.bsky.social on the violence ICE has inflicted on his city. Listen to his testimony
“We will not stand by idly as this injustice unfolds. We will stand up and assert all means legal to protect the people of our state.”
Listen to the testimony of @ag.state.mn.us Keith Ellison, who is suing the Trump administration over ICE’s violence in Minnesota, at our shadow hearing.
What has happened in Minnesota should terrify every single American. If they can erode the rights of some, they can do it to you. No one is safe.
We must stand up for the rights of EVERYONE in our communities and protect our democracy and our Constitution.
Donald Trump’s ICE has put the safety and constitutional rights of Minnesota residents in jeopardy — snatching people off the street, breaking car windows, and battering down doors.
It feels like a military occupation of Minneapolis-Saint Paul, and it must end.
Today, I am in Minneapolis-Saint Paul hosting my sixth immigration shadow hearing, titled “Kidnapped and Disappeared: Trump’s Deadly Assault on Minnesota.”
After Renee Good’s killing and as ICE continues their siege on MN, we are on the ground fighting for justice and the truth.
Thank you, @governorwalz.mn.gov for your leadership in Minnesota and your dedication to fighting for justice and accountability.
Along with nearly 30 members of Congress, I’m with you today in Minneapolis-Saint Paul today to conduct oversight and seek out the truth.
STARTING SOON: Join me LIVE for a hearing in the Twin Cities to conduct oversight on Trump’s deadly assault on Minnesota. www.youtube.com/live/bfVji76...
It is our congressional duty to conduct oversight at ICE facilities. This move is yet another attempt by this administration to hide the horrific conditions of these detention centers.
This is illegal and we won’t let up. www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news...
Banning stock trading for Members of Congress is a popular, populist position that runs across party lines.
As Speaker Johnson tries to push forward a weak, GOP alternative that lets Members continue to trade stocks — we must keep pushing for our bipartisan bill.
I am here in Minneapolis-St. Paul to chair an accountability hearing on the brutality and violence that Trump’s ICE is inflicting on the community. We will not back down.
Watch live tomorrow: www.youtube.com/watch?v=bfVj...
Trump’s ICE is ramming down doors without warrants in violation of the 4th Amendment. Do Republicans really want to green light this behavior & allow ICE to do the same to their own constituents?
Tomorrow, I’ll be in Minneapolis-Saint Paul demanding oversight and accountability.
On Tuesday, Trump cut off $2 billion in mental health and addiction funding, much of which is critical to Seattle orgs.
In response, I joined colleagues to demand the $$ be restored. Last night, it was.
I’ll keep fighting against harmful cuts like these. www.npr.org/2026/01/15/n...
