Marcy Kaptur

Marcia Carolyn Kaptur is an American politician serving as the U.S. representative for Ohio's 9th congressional district since 1983. A member of the Democratic Party, Kaptur is the longest-serving woman in congressional history and the dean of Ohio's congressional delegation since 2009 when Representative Ralph Regula retired. Her district is located in northwestern Ohio along the southern shore of Lake Erie and includes parts of Toledo and other communities in Defiance, Erie, Fulton, Ottawa, Lucas, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood counties.

President Trump says kids only need 5 pencils and can make do with 2 dolls that will cost more. I think every child should have toys and school supplies. While working families stretch every dollar — those who don’t feel the impact shrug off real harm caused by these reckless and arbitrary tariffs.

During his confirmation hearings, Department of Energy Secretary Wright said he would "respond to issues of concern to Congress." He has since ignored 4 bicameral requests for information in February, March, and April. His answers are disappointing, and the lack of response speaks for itself.
