On Military Spouse Appreciation Day, we honor the strength and sacrifice of those who stand beside our service members. Their quiet courage sustains our military and our nation. I remain committed to ensuring they receive the recognition, support, and care they so deeply deserve.
The Spiderweb of Tyranny between Russia, China, and North Korea was on full display today as Xi visited with Dictator Putin in Moscow and North Korean troops marched through Red Square. Putin cannot be trusted and will never be allowed to cover up the crimes he continues to commit against Ukraine.
Introduced a bipartisan resolution alongside my NW Ohio colleague Bob Latta, proclaiming May 9-18, as National American Birding Week. Each spring, our abundant Freshwater Kingdom hosts birders from near and far for the Biggest Week in American Birding. Let this tradition continue for years to come.
President Trump says kids only need 5 pencils and can make do with 2 dolls that will cost more. I think every child should have toys and school supplies. While working families stretch every dollar — those who don’t feel the impact shrug off real harm caused by these reckless and arbitrary tariffs.
Today we celebrate 80 years since Liberty’s victory over Tyranny in Europe during WWII. We must never forget the American soldiers who made the ultimate sacrifice alongside our Allies to achieve victory. These heroes fought for a free world that enshrines Liberty, and our commitment to defend it.
Recognized members of Ohio's Lyons-Royalton Fire Department, who recently saved the life of a local man while responding to a fire call. Firefighter and EMT Tim Ellithorpe, Fire Captain Devon Kelble, and Lyons Fire Chief Zachary Miramontes launched into action, performing heroic lifesaving efforts.
He has given his life to shepherd community as a mendicant, serving others in the Order and Spirit of Saint Augustine. His faith, humility, working class spirit, and heartland values will inspire countless millions.
Led a letter this week alongside @repwesleybellmo.bsky.social, @quigley.house.gov, and @hankjohnson.house.gov to President Trump & AG Pam Bondi calling to pull the nomination of Ed Martin due to concerning ties to Russian state media amongst other concerns. Glad his nomination has since been pulled.
During his confirmation hearings, Department of Energy Secretary Wright said he would "respond to issues of concern to Congress." He has since ignored 4 bicameral requests for information in February, March, and April. His answers are disappointing, and the lack of response speaks for itself.
Today on #NationalSkilledTradesDay, we honor the hardworking tradespeople who are the backbone of our NW Ohio economy. From factory floors, to job sites, your skill and dedication power our communities in more ways than one. I will always stand with you because we simply couldn’t do it without you.
Kicking off #NFUWeekofAction with @nfudc.bsky.social President Rob Larew and farmers from across our nation. It is well past time for a strong Farm Bill #ForFarmersSake, because what America makes and grows, makes and grows America.
This #NationalNursesDay, and every day, we honor the dedication, compassion, and skill of nurses — true heroes who care for our families, friends, and neighbors in times of greatest need. To every nurse: Thank you. Your work touches countless lives, and our nation is stronger because of you.
The Buy America provisions I fought for in BABA are driving real results. From transformers to switchgears, American-made electrical equipment is powering our future. Northwest Ohio knows the value of building things at home and now the nation is following our lead! #MakeItAmerican

Moms keep our economy running. They juggle unpaid caregiving at home while also working to support their families. Yet moms working full-time, year-round earn just 74¢ for every dollar paid to dads. We’re fighting today and every day to end the gender pay gap. #MomsEqualPayDay
Saturday, @lettercarriers.bsky.social in NW Ohio, and postal workers nationwide will hold their annual Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. First launched in 1993, this has since become the largest food drive in America. I encourage all who can help—put dry or canned food by your mailbox THIS Saturday 5/10.
