Our hearts break with the Toledo community as we mourn the tragic loss of 13 year old Keimani Latigue. We must commit to finding justice for her murder as the investigation unfolds. My thoughts and prayers remain with her family, friends, and all who grieve. May she rest in eternal peace.
Imagine putting in the same hours, same effort and getting a paycheck that only pays pennies on the dollar. Unfortunately this is still the reality for countless women across America. On #EqualPayDay I am joining my @demwomencaucus.bsky.social colleagues in the fight for fair wages for all women.
As the Trump Administration pushes for cuts to Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, a new report from the nonpartisan CBO says extending Trump's tax cuts for Billionaires will add $37 Trillion to the debt. We should be working to make life easier for hardworking NW Ohio families—not Billionaires.
Trump's team of Billionaires brought chaos to Social Security. The SSA website crashed 4 times in 10 days. Millions of seniors, retirees, and disabled citizens can’t access their accounts. SSA is understaffed with phones ringing nonstop. Americans earned these benefits—I'm fighting to protect them.
The American people need answers from Pete Hegseth and anyone else involved in the leak of classified information — involving sensitive plans that put military personnel at extreme risk. A full examination of policy surrounding distribution of classified documents must occur before lives are lost.
15 years after the ACA became law, thousands of families across NW Ohio have quality affordable healthcare they deserve. It’s changed lives and lowered costs for many. I’ll always fight to protect and expand care. Healthcare in the richest nation on Earth should be accessible to all—not a privilege.
Toured Lucas County's first Youth Crisis Stabilization Unit this past week. Through community support, this newly renovated facility will continue to expand accessible, trauma-informed care for all in our NW Ohio communities. Thank you to the specialists and experts at Zepf Center for all you do.

The USPS is a Constitutionally guaranteed public service—not something to be gutted for parts. As a former letter carrier I know how vital this work is for our rural, suburban, and urban communities. Thank you to the National Association of Letter Carriers for this Day of Action. #HandsOffTheUSPS

Today I stood with @lettercarriers.bsky.social in Toledo, Ohio, to #resist the dismantling of the USPS by billionaires. Americans rely on the post office for affordable and reliable home delivery of meds & mail. Rural areas are at risk of losing service. #fightlikehell #hellno #usProtests #ToledoOH

It’s Founders Day at Defiance College as they celebrate 175 years of educating our NW Ohio Communities. Honored to memorialize the occasion in the Congressional Record and to present a flag flown over our United States Capitol.
On National Health Care Rights Day, we celebrate the progress made in expanding care to underserved communities. Last year, we launched UToledo’s mobile clinic—a $500K federal investment bringing vital services directly to NW Ohio communities. Healthcare for all means meeting people where they are.
As Ranking Member of the Energy & Water Appropriations Subcommittee, I am committed to investing in clean, reliable water infrastructure. On #WorldWaterDay we reaffirm our responsibility to ensure safe drinking water, protect ecosystems and strengthen our Great Lakes economy for generations to come.
Thank you to Local 18 Operating Engineers’ retirees for the chance to join your monthly luncheon. The fight to protect your hard earned benefits, pensions, health care, and a safe and secure retirement continues. #1u
Junction Family Pharmacy serves as a new lifeline for our Toledo community. While major chains close locations, this new family owned pharmacy brings hope and the ability to fill prescriptions close to home for those living in the Junction neighborhood and beyond.
Always enjoy the annual Lucas County Farm Bureau legislative breakfast. Thank you to farmers, growers, and producers who shared key priorities including strengthening crop insurance, protecting against bird flu, and getting a strong Farm Bill enacted.
