Joined the Area Office on Aging of NWOhio today in reminding those 60+ across NW Ohio to use their Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program benefits before they expire on November 30th. This is a great way to help fill your table for #Thanksgiving. Find a full list of vendors at areaofficeonaging.com

Empowering women’s entrepreneurship with WIPP’s session in NW Ohio. Earlier this week we marked #WomensEntrepreneurshipDay, so it was fitting time to join with this phenomenal group of women in business from across our region.
Ahead of #Thanksgiving, I recognized the United Way of Greater Toledo's invaluable efforts to address hunger during this holiday season. Our NW Ohio community came together to create 500+ boxes with 2 weeks of food for families in need. No family should face an empty table in the United States.
On #NationalRuralHealthDay, we celebrate expanding care to underserved communities. Earlier this year, we launched the University of Toledo’s mobile clinic—a $500K federal investment bringing vital health services directly to rural NW Ohio. Healthcare for all means meeting people where they are.
Today as we mark 1000 days since Putin’s illegal and unprovoked full scale invasion of Ukraine, I am heartened by POTUS approval of long range strike capabilities into Russian territory. Our bipartisan Ukraine Caucus will continue to stand with our ally Ukraine to win this war.
John Crandall was a pragmatic voice of reason for his beloved Sylvania Township. He was a problem solver, and public servant first and always. Serving 30+ years with the Lucas County Engineer's Office, he was instrumental in work on the Veteran's Glass City Skyway, Millard Overpass and so much more.
Happy #AmericanEducationWeek! As the first in my family to graduate high school and college, I’ve seen firsthand how education transforms lives and communities. Today, we honor our educators and students working hard to build a brighter future for all. Here’s to nurturing minds!
As Dean of the Ohio Delegation, it was an honor to lead the bipartisan House tribute to our distinguished former colleague from Ohio, Congressman David Hobson. Rest in peace, dear friend.
They withdrew their November 5th motion to table.
During #AmericaRecyclesMonth let’s keep working toward a greener future! Last month I Joined Lucas County Commissioners Gerken, Sobecki & Lopez, and Toledo Councilman Nick Komives to announce $5 Million to strengthen our local recycling infrastructure. ♻️
Honored the life and legacy of former Lucas County Commissioner and dear friend, Sandy Isenberg, a true trailblazer for our NW Ohio communities. She paved the way for women in government when there were few role models and held her ground with both strength and grace.
This week 327 bipartisan House Members came together to pass the #SocialSecurityFairnessAct to ensure retired public servants do not lose their hard earned Social Security retirement benefits to WEP and GPO. The House has done its work, and now I urge the Senate to do the same.

Alignment stats consider only votes where a clear yes/no majority existed for the legislator's party. Cross-party marks divergence where the vote matched the opposite party majority. ↔ indicates cross-party divergence.
