Today is the 75th International Credit Union Day—credit unions around the globe, across our country, and throughout NW Ohio use it to raise awareness and celebrate what makes credit unions unique: the mission to bring financial inclusion and well-being to people all over the world.
I reiterate my call for the House to work in bipartisan fashion and find the Big Middle — the place where we come together in common interest for a better America that works for All the People.
The House is paralyzed by the chaos coming from the Majority. 15 days without a Speaker of the House and the second vote for a new Speaker just failed on the House Floor.
It’s time for the Majority to move on and get serious about restoring order in the People’s House. At a time of great national and international importance, I join Rep Summer Lee, Jewish Action, ADC, and Americas Voice in calling on the House GOP to reject Jim Jordan for Speaker.
Attention OH-09: The 2024 Medicare Open Enrollment period is underway!
Review your coverage and make any changes to your plans before the period closes on Dec. 7.

Good morning—12 days into this impasse, I once again ask the Majority to get past their chaos, paralysis, and inaction—either find the votes to elect a new Speaker or work with House Democrats who stand together united ready to work in bipartisan fashion for the American People.
Happy National Wildlife Refuge Week! There are more than 560 wildlife refuges across the country including one here in NW Ohio. These refuges protect vulnerable ecosystems, improve air & water quality, curb damage from wildfire & floods, and help preserve our cultural heritage.
10 days into the chaos, paralysis, and inaction coming from the Majority, House Democrats stand together united and ready to work in bipartisan fashion for the American People.
Individuals with Metastatic Breast Cancer deserve immediate access to care.
This Breast Cancer Awareness Month, I am encouraging my colleagues to join me, Rep. Andrew Garbarino and U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor in supporting the Metastatic Breast Cancer Access to Care Act.
Delighted to announce we are accepting applications for the Spring 2024 internship cohort in our DC Office. We are looking for hardworking, bright individuals that want to gain invaluable experience working in public service — apply now!
Our first responsibility is to “protect and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic,” and the US House of Representatives must restore regular Order for the sake of our Republic.
These fringe extremists have not demonstrated any will nor inclination to compromise to produce bipartisan bills that can pass both the House and Senate to yield progress for the American people.
Even though chaos reigns on the other side of the aisle due to a small band of malcontents, our House must gravitate to the Big Middle to rescue our Republic from radical extremists who only disrupt and create chaos.
Those 12 bills should have passed the House before Sept. 30 to operate the government of the United States and they now hang in limbo. The total of those bills must conform to the 2024 Budget agreement, which the Republican Party failed to prepare in a timely manner last spring.
Enemies abroad pay attention to these dangerous and unpatriotic acts of irresponsibility. The House cannot allow such partisan warfare to cripple the operations of the government of the United States, and passing of a budget comprised of 12 appropriations bills for 2024.
On the other side of the US Capitol—for which millions of our citizens have fought and died to preserve—one Republican Senator has made it his mission to hold up hundreds of confirmations of nominees to fill key positions at the US Department of Defense.
🧵 Today is day 9 of internal chaos inside the Republican Conference. Their disorder and indecision to elect a Speaker of the House of Representatives imperils the national security of our nation.
Good morning — I'm once again urging my colleagues across the aisle to help us get the House of Representatives back to work. Working people and allies around the world are counting on us.
Last week I said America is so much better than this orchestrated chaos. Let us stop the fits, delays and fringe antics. My message is crystal clear—do the work for which the American people have elected us. My position remains the same—let us get back to doing the people’s work.
On World Mental Health Day and every day, I am working to expand access to mental health care across NW Ohio so our citizens have the resources they need to heal, recover, and thrive. If you know someone struggling or in crisis, help is available 24/7/365 by calling or texting 988.
