A Reagan-appointed judge ruled that the Administration’s attempt to cancel hundreds of NIH grants are “void and illegal.”
We must continue to stand up to the attacks on health research and lifesaving clinical trials.

Melissa was one of the most consequential speakers in the history of our state. She knew no limits in terms of trying to get people together, trying to get things done. And while I cannot believe she is gone, Minnesotans will be feeling the impact of her leadership forever.
Former Office of Management and Budget Director Shalanda Young said it best: “We know what a Congress determined to help families make ends meet can do for the American people. That's not what's happening in the Republican budget bill.”
Despite having decades of bipartisan support, the Administration continues to cut international aid - adding to the headwinds our farmers are facing. More from me and @SenatorShaheen here 👇

Melissa Hortman was a brilliant leader, a fierce advocate, and a grounded public servant who got things done. She gave Minnesotans her all — with grit, grace, and heart. We lost a true force for good.

Thank you to all in law enforcement who worked relentlessly to locate and arrest this suspect. It was a mammoth and heroic effort.
Happy Father’s Day to all the amazing dads—especially my two favorites: my husband John and my dad Jim.
John is the best dad! Abigail adores him. And I’m remembering my dad with love…missing our adventures by bike and on mountain trails.
Sharing a few favorite throwback photos:
A joint statement from our entire Congressional delegation including Representatives McCollum and Emmer, Senator Smith, and Representatives Craig, Omar, Stauber, Fischbach, Finstad, and Morrison condemning political violence and praying for the Hortman and Hoffman families:
I’ve long been committed to ensuring Iran doesn’t have a nuclear weapon. We must work with Israel and our regional partners to de-escalate and avoid a devastating regional war. That is the way to keep people safe, including the thousands of US service members stationed in the Middle East.
BREAKING NEWS: a federal judge blocked the Administration’s attempt to illegally fire three Consumer Product Safety Commissioners.
Whether it’s baby products or swimming pools, the Consumer Product Safety Commission keeps people safe. This ruling is a win for all consumers.
Felecia is single mom of four who works up to three jobs at a time to make ends meet. She counts on SNAP to help put food on the table.
This is who Republicans in Congress are trying to take food away from.
Listen to her story.
Katina works part-time so she can care for her mom, who had 3 surgeries in 12 days to remove a tumor from her spinal cord.
She counts on Medicaid for health care, which she could lose because of Republicans’ Big Betrayal.
We’re fighting for Katina & all Americans’ health care.
What happened to @padilla.senate.gov in California today is outrageous. Senator Padilla is a respected leader of great dignity and he has every right to ask a question of Secretary Noem without being slammed down and handcuffed.
No one is more deserving of NAB’s Service to Community Award than @wccoradio.bsky.social’s Sheletta Brundidge. As a mom to 3 kids with autism, she used her platform to start “Lifesaving Locks” – helping families secure their homes to prevent accidents and protecting kids across the country.
No data is more personal than our DNA.
That's why last month I introduced a bipartisan bill to stop companies from selling genetic data in bankruptcy without your consent. More from our hearing today:
Any bill that cuts health care, takes away food assistance, and rewards the wealthiest fails the test of moral leadership.
Thank you to all the religious leaders who came out to the Capitol today to send a message - this bill is a Big Betrayal of families in need.
This will raise education costs for more than 50,000 students in MN — putting college, community college, or technical schools out of reach.
Instead of funding a tax break for billionaires, we should be expanding access to education and making it easier to learn skills to get good jobs.
“Total bunk. We don’t have the money.”
Watch @GovLauraKelly explain how the Big Beautiful Betrayal will blow a hole in state budgets by forcing them to pay for food assistance for families in need.
It could take $100 million from Kansas alone.
The largest cuts to SNAP and Medicaid in history weren’t enough to pay for Republicans’ tax breaks for the wealthy. Next on the chopping block? Medicare.
