Next stop: Danville! 📍 I’m proud to continue sharing @librarycongress.bsky.social surplus books with our local gems like the Danville Public Library. Access to great books is the cornerstone of opportunity. It is a joy to help ensure the shelves stay full for every reader in our district!
Republicans created this airport chaos. They can end it tomorrow. Speaker Johnson, bring the House back. Allow us to pass the bipartisan bill. The American people deserve action, not Republican political games. It’s time to do the job we were sent here to do.
Our healthcare system is broken, and Trump’s $1 trillion cut to Medicaid last summer has only worsened it. You deserve better than higher costs and less care. @HouseDemocrats and I are fighting like hell to ensure every family has access to the affordable care they need.
Trump promised lower prices on day one. He lied. Now, families are stuck paying the price for his broken promises, from the grocery aisle to the gas station. Americans deserve better than empty words while our costs keep rising.
On #WorldAutismAwarenessDay, we celebrate the neurodiversity that strengthens our IL-02 community. Inclusion isn’t just a goal; it’s a commitment to ensure every individual has the support and resources to thrive. Let’s keep building a world where everyone is celebrated!
Donut worry, be happy—and shop local! 🍩✨ Stopped by Royal Donut in Danville to support our small businesses. With 76% of local shops forced to raise prices due to rising tariff costs, they need us more than ever. Every purchase makes a difference!
Once again, Trump proves that loyalty only goes one way in this administration.     Like ousted Attorney General Pam Bondi, you can give up your morals and the rule of law for him, but he'll still let you go as soon as it benefits him.    The Trump White House is always in a state of chaos.
Reading is FUNdamental! 📚 I was honored to donate surplus @librarycongress.bsky.social books to the Glenwood-Lynwood Public Library District. We are expanding access to knowledge and opportunity right here in our community. Everyone deserves the joy of reading!
There may be a fool in the White House, but what’s happening in this country is no joke. While families struggle to get by, Donald Trump is still putting billionaires and himself over the people. We need leadership focused on lowering costs and delivering for working families.
Today, the Supreme Court hears arguments on birthright citizenship. The 14th Amendment is settled law: if you’re born here, you’re a citizen.  The President can’t executive order his way around the Constitution. I will continue the fight to  protect our families and our future.
Defend th 14th amendment at the Supreme Court.
In his latest desperate attempt to suppress voters, President Trump now wants to create a national list of voters. He’ll use any tactic to cling to power and undermine our democracy. We won't let it happen. See you in court, Donald.
Minneapolis was a wake-up call. I am standing with @krisbrown.bradyunited.org to ask the tough questions. Alex Pretti was a legal gun owner, yet DHS agents killed him while the gun lobby stayed SILENT. More guns don’t mean more safety; ICE and CBP need to get the hell out of our cities.
What happened in Minneapolis didn’t occur overnight. It was the result of decades of insidious messaging by America’s deadliest industry. The answer to this moment cannot be more guns. It must be accountability. Read my latest with @robinlynnekelly.bsky.social ⬇️
Today, I honor the farmworkers, their movement, and their power. My district covers over 4,500 farms, and I know their work is essential to feed our country. I will keep fighting for fair pay, safe conditions, and the dignity every worker deserves.
