Every person deserves a living wage. As the son of immigrants, I know the meaning behind the American Dream – but it’s only possible if people are able to meet their basic needs. That's why I co-sponsored the Living Wage for All Act to ensure working families can thrive.
This week, I met with students participating in the Congressional Hispanic Caucus Institute. It was great to hear what's on their minds and answer their thoughtful questions on topics ranging from Delaney Hall and protecting immigrants to expanding healthcare access for all.
Family Promise of Bergen County has served over 1.5 million meals to their surrounding community in need. So inspiring to see the work that they do!
It always brings a smile to my face when I pick my boys up from summer camp and get to hear about their adventures. Every kid should have these opportunities. That's why I introduced the Summer Camp for All Act to make sure ALL kids are able to build these memories.
I continue to stand with the LGBTQ+ community in NJ and around the country against any attempts to take away those rights. You have the right to love whomever you choose, and I’ll continue to fight for the rights and freedoms of every American. 2/2
Devastated to see the loss of life and damage done by the earthquakes in Venezuela.

Thank you to the rescue teams for your efforts and dedication.

I’m glad the international community has rallied quickly to support Venezuelans during their time of need. What a tragedy.
Back-to-back earthquakes in Venezuela left at least 188 people dead and more than 1,500 injured, authorities said. Residents of La Guaira, the city most heavily affected, estimated that hundreds of people were trapped in rubble. Follow for live updates. trib.al/llqSwET
We must continue, now more than ever, to push back against the erosion of voting rights and ensure every American has the freedom to express themselves at the ballot box. 2/2
Today marks the 13th anniversary of Shelby County v. Holder, the Supreme Court case that eliminated a key part of the Voting Rights Act that had ensured changes in voting practices would not deny Americans the right to vote based on race. 1/2
The National Republican Senatorial Committee v. FEC is a case currently before the Supreme Court about the influence billionaires have on our elections. Here’s what you need to know.
Great to speak with @iamunion.bsky.social about the importance of protecting workers across our country! I am proud to fight alongside you to support strong labor protections, workers' rights to unionize, and economic opportunity for all.
Trump is holding the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act – the biggest housing bill in nearly 30 years – hostage because he doesn't care about YOU.
We should all be concerned about this trend.   We can't create economic opportunities here at home if we aren't seen as a reliable partner abroad.   If we're to build a more resilient future, we have to lean into our alliances that will power the future global economy.
Four years ago, the Dobbs decision overturned Roe v. Wade and devastatingly eliminated the constitutional right to an abortion. Today, Americans’ reproductive freedoms remain at risk. We must continue to protect the freedom to decide when, if, and how to start a family.
