Today, I signed the House Dems discharge petition to force a vote on funding FEMA, TSA, and the law-abiding parts of DHS without any blank check for ICE and CBP’s lawlessness.
We need America to be prepared for emergencies and we need to pay our TSA agents.

Great to speak with San Francisco Chamber of Commerce leaders yesterday. In Congress, I’m working to strengthen the Bay Area’s competitiveness by improving access to housing, transportation, and other economic engines.

Equality delayed is equality denied. From fairness in our workplaces to equality in our Constitution, the ERA is essential—and long overdue.
I’ve voted in favor of the ERA, and I’ll keep fighting until it’s recognized as the 28th Amendment.
Thanks to Councilwoman Yvonne Martinez Beltran for visiting my office to discuss how we can work together to make Morgan Hill safer, healthier, and more affordable. #CA18

A lot of folks were outraged when the FBI got a warrant to search Mar-a-Lago for classified documents that Trump stole. Yet those same people are quiet when ICE is breaking down Americans’ doors without any warrant and trampling on the 4th Amendment. Why is that?
This morning, I met with California realtors to discuss some of the biggest obstacles to homeownership for our state. In Congress, I’m focused on solutions that will boost our housing supply, lower home insurance costs, and ease the burden on first-time buyers.
Even Trump’s own appointees are now resigning in protest over his illegal war with Iran. It’s a war that’s costing Americans dearly, and Congress needs to rein this in before we get stuck in another endless war.
I recently had a great discussion with VFW leaders to discuss their legislative priorities. Congress has an obligation to ensure veterans receive education and employment assistance after leaving military service and that they get timely access to high-quality healthcare.
It’s been five years since the tragic Atlanta spa shootings, one of the deadliest acts of anti-Asian hate in modern American history. We remember the eight lives lost that day, and we must recommit to ending senseless gun violence and hate in all its forms.
I'm proud to have received a 100% on the Humane World Action Fund’s scorecard for my leadership on animal protection issues. In Congress, I firmly support actions to conserve wildlife and end animal cruelty.

Not only did federal spending actually go UP under Elon Musk's DOGE, but Musk's henchman also might've put 500 million Americans' personal info onto a thumb drive to share with his next employer. There needs to be a full investigation into this gross mishandling of information.
Unchecked government access to Americans’ personal information threatens their privacy. This week, I introduced a bipartisan bill with Rep. Warren Davidson, @wyden.senate.gov, and Sen. Mike Lee that offers the most comprehensive surveillance reform in nearly 50 years. www.wired.com/story/us-law...
This Women's History Month, I'm thankful for all the remarkable women who I've had the pleasure of serving with, from local government to Congress. Women have made great progress during my time in public service, and I have no doubt we will continue to make our voices heard.
I'm proud to have received a 97% on @lcv.org’s annual environmental scorecard. In Congress, I'm fighting to preserve California's natural beauty for our children and grandchildren and to ensure every American has access to clean air and clean water.

Our immigration court system simply cannot be impartial nor effective as long as it remains under the DOJ and the executive branch. That’s why I’ve introduced a bill with @raskin.house.gov, @hankjohnson.house.gov, and @repdangoldman.bsky.social to create an independent immigration court system.
I strongly condemn this violent attack on Sunday in San Jose. Antisemitism has no place in our city nor does any form of hate. I support our local police investigating this crime and ensuring those responsible are held accountable.
