“The time is always right to do what is right.”— Martin Luther King Jr. Today, we honor the legacy of MLK and his vision of a nation built on justice and equality for all people. We carry on his mission and continue his fight for voting rights, equal opportunities, and justice for all.
I’ve long warned that if health care costs get too expensive, working people will choose to go without coverage. If Republicans can’t work with Democrats in Congress to extend the ACA Tax Credit, families in our community will pay the price. We need a fix, now.
Great night joining the Las Vegas alumni brothers of Kappa Alpha Psi for their Founders’ Day banquet!  For 115 years, Kappa Alpha Psi has been a pillar of service — championing education, mentorship, health initiatives, community empowerment, and so much more.
Such a special morning at the grand opening of Southern Highlands Preparatory School’s pre-school campus. I’m glad this new pre-school will expand access to high-quality early education in one of our city’s fastest-growing communities.
📅 Open Enrollment for Nevada Health Link ends TODAY Since Senate Republicans failed to extend the ACA Tax Credit, millions of Americans will be stuck with skyrocketing health care costs. If you or your family is affected by high health care costs, I want to hear from you:
⏰ Our clean energy transition is well underway. Nationwide, permitting delays for rooftop solar and other residential energy systems are making this transition more costly and time-consuming for homeowners, businesses, and local governments alike. (2/3)
We’ve seen far too many southern Nevadans struggle with addiction. That’s why I was shocked to see the Trump Administration’s cruel decision to defund substance use recovery and mental health grants. (1/2)
If you’ve been to any store in Las Vegas recently, you know that organized retail crime is a huge problem. That’s why I’m working to make it a federal offense and get local law enforcement the tools and support they need to tackle this crime.
So great to meet the Philippine Ambassador to the U.S., Jose Manuel G. Romualdez! I can’t wait to welcome him to southern Nevada, where we have one of the fastest growing Filipino communities in the country!
The situation in Iran is dire, and the United States has the power to make a difference. We must help Iranian people communicate with the outside world, access the internet, and make their voices heard.
🌐Resume and leverage the Department of State’s collaboration with the Open Technology Fund. 🛡️Harness existing technologies like Virtual Private Networks (VPNs). 📱Fully assess emerging technologies such as direct-to-cell networks.
The Iranian regime is violently retaliating against its people and escalating its communications blackout. I won’t idly sit by while the Iranian people risk their lives in their struggle for democracy.
Today marks the anniversary of the arrival of the first Korean immigrants to the US in 1903. 123 years later, their contributions, achievements, and culture have made communities like southern Nevada stronger, vibrant, and prosperous. Happy #KoreanAmericanDay!
I’m working with Rep. Dave Joyce on this bill which will make organized retail crime a federal offense and ensure state and local law enforcement have the tools they need to crack down on these criminal operations. (3/3)
