Trump says this war is about “freedom for the people” of Iran.
But before launching a war Congress never authorized, he should have had a plan to protect and bring home the thousands of Americans across the Middle East.
Now he wants it for a war that Congress never authorized, with no clear strategy or end game?
When Americans needed help with groceries, doctors, or prescriptions, he said the money wasn’t there.
Now, apparently he will ask Congress for at least $50 billion more for war with Iran.
Trump cut Medicaid, food stamps, and health coverage for millions.
Threatening to cut off trade with Spain is idiotic. The United States runs a trade surplus with them, meaning we sell them more goods than they sell us. It would hurt American exporters and workers first. Turning a disagreement with a NATO partner into a trade fight is petulant child stuff.
The economy lost 92,000 jobs last month. Americans need a president focused on economic stability, not distractions.

The DOJ and CFTC had active investigations into Polymarket that could have helped stop this, but those investigations were dropped after Trump took office.
I’m working on legislation to ban this permanently. War is not a casino.
